A few years ago a fine member here offered one of his beautiful Brass Breech for a Holiday "gift-away".
I came in runner-up and as a consolation prize, received an original Crosman Steel Breech.
All my 13XX and 22XX guns are already wearing one.
Seeing the resurgence of interest with the 362, I thought I would offer it up.
Still wrapped in the foam as I received it. To the best of my knowledge, never installed. Just used to "duplicate".
No bolt, probe, end-cap or screws... Just the breech so can be .177 or .22.
First one to claim it, gets it.
Just PM me your Address.

I received the steel breech today from Scott, Thanks.
This steel breech has the hole to mount to tube in the rear / bolt end of the loading port.
My 1322 has the hole in the front / barrel end.
I have a Sheridan 2260MB and its hole is also in the rear.
I was planning on getting a 362 to mount this on - but I think the hole is in the front like the 1322.
I do not think drilling and tapping a hole will work because it may be in the way of the hammer ?
Anybody know about how to use this steel breech on a 362 / 1322 ?
Thanks - see picture of hole in rear of port.

OH MY GOSH... it has the rear screw hole?
As I said, I never unpacked it when I received it.
Much more desirable than the forward hole that snags the pellet...
Use a "Notched Hammer" but I do not know if that translates to new 362.
I will take it back if you can't use it!

Yes - the forward hole snags pellets on my 1322 14" steel breech. PITA.
I am going to try get it work on an old 1377 ( I have both .177 and .22 bolts ) before I try on a new 362.
Thanks again, I like to tinker with the LEGO crosmans.

For the shooters who are reluctant to pay $50.00 for a steel breech?
A set of aluminum picatinny rails can be had for $7.00 (in the US). It's a bit of a project to drill a series of holes halfway through, along the bottom. Then grind that out and lap the rail with PSA sandpaper wrapped over the barrel, so it mates to the top of the barrel with epoxy.
And a bit of brass can be fashioned into a rock solid muzzle band that gets soldered to the pump tube and fixes the barrel with a wedge.
This is assuming you can remove and replace the front sight on the 362. The muzzle of the barrel slips through the hole in the muzzle band to reinstall the barrel, then you place and tap in the wedge to fix it. And the gap between the barrel hole and the pump tube is 15 thous on a 13xx, at least, to ensure the barrel is perfectly parallel to the pump tube.
late edit: Actually, I have one of these DIY barrel bands that is not installed, yet.
After you place the wedge, this end of your barrel and pump tube might as well be one solid piece of metal. I've not re-tightened a breech screw since installing these on all my 13xx's.

But.... but... After all that work, you still have a plastic breech?
...and your point to my "Pay it Forward" post is what?

Well, I see your offer got taken pretty quick. I just thought of it when I read this thread. I'll see if I can't still remove my post and put it somewhere more appropriate.
Yeah, the breech is still plastic. I think some people buy a steel breech to add optics and to attempt to remove barrel play. And I reckon this works better than a dinky set screw!
Edit: too late for me to delete it. If I'm stealing your thunder, you're a mod. Maybe you can just delete it for me?

No worries Ken, it can stay.
I think it would get more attention it deserves in the Crosman Gate.
You may want to post it there too.

fwiw I have a 1300kt (1322 custom shop) and a 2240 both with front breech screws but my 2240xl has a rear screw breech....does Crosman actually know what they're doing?
I just thought this might be useful info to someone.

Please see rear screw Steel Breech from Scott on a 1377 with dot sight.
It took me three tubes/tries to drill/tap correctly.
Thanks again to Scott
