there is also a trigger adjustment that increases and decreases the second stage pull length... it may be set to short... I had seen a thread that mentions the type of trigger assembly used... but have to find it again... and maybe it is the one that the rc bearing works on...here is BB's blog that mentions the trigger adjustment...https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2022/03/crosman-icon-part-three/ I would like to learn what I can if anyone has insight or links... I think it may be based on the 160's trigger..?
I have 2 of the 22's and you have to make a conscious effort of pulling the trigger to make either one of them fire. I'm sure they did enough R&D to make sure they wouldn't go off inadvertently
