Ben Disco valve pin button head cap screws question

I was in a local industrial supply store that happen to carry 8-32 x 3/8" button head cap screws that look identical to the valve pin screws for the Benjamin Discovery (PN 1761-010), so I picked some up in case I ever needed them for a project. Now I'm wondering if using these screws would be a mistake because I have no idea if these are "high strength" or are too weak for use in a Ben Disco HPA application. I would only use this for a Disco or similar 2000 psi max project with a Disco valve.
Anybody know if these are okay to use? The pic shows some info I found online about this type of screw based on PN B701071. If no answer then I will just order spares directly from Crosman (like I should've done from the beginning).

Ken
IMO ordering from Crosman is a better than the screws you found.
They will be reasonably priced, and shipping on small parts from Crosman is inexpensive (+/-$4)
I think they are item 32 in the attached diagram
Part # 1761-010
Should you want some heavy-duty screws, capable of 3k psi, your best source is Magnum Air Power.
They are not inexpensive, however,

Hope this helps

I mod all my discos and 2260 style pcp builds with MagnumAir valve screws. They are robust, torx head, and stainless. I've had them handle 3500-4000 psi fills no problem. I don't recommend doing that high, but I made a 2400kt pistol with a 4000 psi fill and super heavy spring with a 12" barrel. It was a 40 fpe pistol with baracudas and was LOUD!
No deformation of the tube around the holes or anything, but again I don't recommend going that high.

SCREW, #8x.188, PPH, I believe is just an 8-32, 3/16" Phillips Pan Head. When I looked at the specs for one on McMaster-Carr, the head size is larger than what is in your chart. If correct, I would not use under sized heads. The fitment to the tube is critical, and if the 3/8" screw bottoms out in the valve, and does not seat the head flush on the valve, another critical problem.
Just get the MAP screws and have some more leeway in fill pressure.

I just use OEM Crosman P'rod valve anchor screws. These are not button head, or pan head they are Low Head Allen caps. But the heads are just a few thou higher than the low head Allens that I have found from other sources.
