What did you do to your 362?

😂😂😂 My first one lasted a week also!

Mine were on the bench right after the first couple shots.
Both are now .177 guns. One a long version and one a shorty. The 21" barrel is scoped and has silencer on it and the 18" is peep sighted with a wide open barrel at the muzzle.

Mine lasted long enough for me to get it out of the box and to the table, hahaha

I shot  811 until the breach started getting wobbly then I took it all apart and figure it out the parts I would need to make it shoot consistently. So about a week before it went under the knife.

I've kept my first one stock  so far and dropped shipped one to Mac1 which should arrive at my house by Friday.

I've thought about swapping parts out from other Crosman guns but held off. Does anyone still sell short breech? Aesthetically, I like the look of the short plastic breech but obviously it's not the most durable or stable. I was thinking a short breech from Don C and a silver muzzle break to match.

What were you getting wobble from, was the barrel getting lose in the plastic breech. I thought that breech was pretty tough, or am I wrong?

The breach and barrel clamp both loosened up several times just from pumping the gun up. Once I attached a lightweight 4x32 scope with barrel clamps, it was a mess with all three screws loosening after just a few shots.

The plastic breach is too flat to stay locked square on the tube, thus I ordered a Baker Aluminum breach so I could hog out a deeper concave if it is too flat for a solid mount.

 I sat and shot over 50-75 pellets thru #2 down my 20’ indoor “range” at my new rubber mulch targets. I’d say at short range the cheap H&N excite 13gr pellets shoot pretty good and I figured out a way to use the sights with my crumby eyes. Lol
Had to share a few pics.
PS. The wife still hasn’t said anything. 🤫

Greg those excite pellets shoot great from my vintage pistols, I need to cast up some more wad cutters because I shot up most of them early on with my C362 which also shoots them good.

2nd gun arrived today(serial # 486)…..24” .177 barrel with temp. Crosman brake…for the moment vintage 1976 Tasco (Japan) 4x32…beautiful clear glass..only problem is pellet takes the nose dive into the breach screw….and seems to be occasionally hanging in TP hole…but at 30 feet hole in hole….I’m sorry guys I wanted to keep one stock but oh well…many thanks

Dang it just occurred to me that tasco is 46 years old….and still looks brand new…..wow..

Finally had a nice day off to finally break out the chrono and see how things are shooting. Both guns shoot very consistent shot strings. I thought there would be a bigger fps drop with the short bolt in the steel breech but not really.  Very happy with them.
   
    Here’s the results. I shot 4 pumps with H&N Barracuda 15
 1480 is my scoped steel breech 362 and 1476 is my stock 362.

 Well it was stock for a lil bit. I installed the steel breech on 1476 today. Along with a Williams peep and the fiber optic front.

I got one a while ago, put about 10 pellets through it is all I've done with it... I did put up a second gun rack by the shop man door to put it on though... with the pests around never know when you need an Avenger, 20ga shotgun, .22 pumper or long barrel 1740 in .177 with scope...

Well so far I have put an old steel breech/bolt and handle, I had from a different project on it, a 760 front sight and a Williams rear peep. Taped the trigger to straighten the trigger and reduce felt pull. Shoots consistant now, and is a good little pester/ plinker. I guess if you added all the parts up I'd have about $180 into the gun, but most parts I had laying around  so it was a budget build for me. So far I like it as much as either one of my 392's I have it's lighter and about the same power for how I shoot it, 4 to 6 pumps gets ur' done.
