C362 in .177

Because a .22 is better?   

The smaller .177 pellets are too difficult for me to handle.

 If I were to reduce caliber on a C362 I would be more tempted to go with .20 cal.. , not sure if any of the ones converted to date have tried the heavy .177 ammo yet there may be some gains there.

well the Seneca domes are just a bit to tight to get accuracy maybe if sized... the JSB beast are the only pellet that had beastly harmonic probs with the 26" Maxi barrel... had to use a harmonic tuner but then a single hole at 30 yards... 8 pumps gets 612 fps and ten gets right below 650... Seneca domed nearly exactly the same...

 long barreled(26") just with the stock valve... here are the #'s mine hit..

JSB 13.43g Monsters... with 8 pumps...  spits em out at 692 fps for about 14.3 fpe

10.5g CPUM... 4 pumps 603 fps/8.49 fpe....6 pumps 695 fps/11.25 fpe...8 pumps 761 fps/13.5 fpe...

7.9g CPHP 8 pumps  833 fps/12.18 fpe

7.4g C Points... 8 pumps  859 fps/12.1 fpe...

with some valve volume and flow mods... well feel the 13g monsters should hit ~725-750 fps or so...

#805 is a 21" .177. I like it alot. Very accurate gun.
I'm not getting the accuracy I expected out of #782 with it's stock .22 barrel. I'm going to swap the barrels out with the stock .22 from #805. If that don't give me any joy then #782 will become a .177 with an 18" barrel and open sights.

There are folks out there that chop and crown barrels but they can get a bit pricey.
I prefer to buy the $20 Crosman barrels and do the work myself, or have one of the guys at work do it.
Other than the chopped barrel, the rest of the parts are just what we are using on these guns anyways.
The breech and trigger stuff.

Understood…Ive got several plastic assemblies…looking for a bolt/probe for breech conversion….barrel is a given….thanks

Couple of options there...
You can buy the MAP bolts or you can grind/knock the knob out of the stock bolt and thread it for a knob.
I am using the latter in my #805 .177 and surprisingly the .22 stock bolt seals up great in the .177 barrel.
The bolt does not 'jump' when fired.

I scored a 24” .177 on eBay intending to chop it down to 22-ish and put it in the 362, but the darn thing is so accurate I may just have to learn to live with the extra 2” (assuming I can bring myself to pull it from my 1377).

I have a 24" Crosman barrel in .177 that is very accurate (the one on the right; left is a 10" LW; both with UK-made Matt Winser all-delrin LDC):










38 yards and propelled by C02.

I had them reblued.


NOTE: 10g AA pellets, or was it JSB? Anyway, they shoot the same

 Not to be sacrilege, but I bet a Daisy 880 barrel sleeved in carbon fiber tube would rock in one of these

 I converted my 2240XL over to .177 .   added a 12" barrel .   a little more FPS where I shoot ..... awesome

Yes it did….not pellet picky either ….seeing as how Ive only got crosman and Winchester at the moment…lol…one of the best shooting guns I got……as u can tell I havent cut down the barrel……>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>yet…lol
