They must have just gotten more in then or they weren't being straightforward about how many they really had probably to get someone like me to jump on them, well they're not really super expensive.

Yeah, $11 and change delivered.
And Lord knows I have plenty of the 'lego' guns to use them on.
I'll most likely chuck a few up in the drill and do some backyard grooves in them. Maybe add some orings for grip.

I've hot blued an entire Crosman 150 tube with a butane torch quenched in vegetable oil, it came out pretty nice but the ideal way to do it would be with an oxygen acetylene torch, you could control the color better with a big torch like that.

The flame blue really turned out nice, the picture does not do it justice.

I've watched restomod daisy do fire bluing on YouTube and it looks nice too. Did you use a propane torch? I might try it on mine when they get here.

Yes, I went for a variety of colors from brown to blue to purple to a full black.

Well, I'm a happy camper today. This Alchemy barrel likes my 34 grain cast hunters. It's pushing them 485 fps for 17.76 fpe. I guess I'll hang onto the mold now because these pellets really thump at the ranges I'll be using them in this gun. I'm planning to do some casting tomorrow, so it will be in the rotation for sure.

This is 5 shots at 15 yards.

Edit: I'm wrong, this is my 27 grain mold, so it's only making a little over 14 fpe. It's still shooting them better than any of my other .25 guns do.

Thanks Wayne, I'm really excited about it! I was about ready to give up on this mold too. It looks like this barrel runs a little tight so it's shooting them well.

Well, it's finished for now at least. I might do something else to the trigger later but I'm going to shoot it like this for awhile. Since my original post I had a buddy turn a custom aluminum barrel band and I added a brass spacer behind the Buck-Rail suppressor to hide the exposed threads on the barrel. The barrel band is Gorilla glued to the old portion that remained after I dremeled the original off. It's holding up well so far and accuracy is great.
