YH Compressor Vendor

Well I am tired of using my hand pump. So looking to get a YH Compressor. Anyone have any seller or vendor recommendations? eBay seems cheaper than Amazon.

If you are worried about the warranty, make sure you get it in writing who pays for shipping back to the vendor.  I read another post a while back that someone had bought through Walmart with an extended warranty and Walmart had tried 6 or 7 times to contact the original vendor with no luck.  Did not hear how it ended.

IMHO this is the best solution!  Buy the cheapest one you can get and get rebuild parts if ever needed.  I do suggest getting the "hard cover" model instead of the "simple" model.  The hard cover has a pressure release block on both sides of the compressor, the simple model only has a pressure release on the right side of the compressor.  (more areas to bleed off moisture before it gets to the filter, tank, or gun.)

I found 2 YH compressors that were Amazon returns for $300, so I have a spare if ever needed.  They had never had the oil even added to them.  I didn't realize until I got them home that they were the simple versions and didn't know that they were a thing until then.

I have a couple of YHs. One bought from Walmart and the other from Ebay. You can buy a real YH hard cover on Ebay for less than Walmart. I wouldn't bother with a warranty. They are easily repairable and parts are cheap. Does take a while to get them from China though......can't be inpatient.

Maybe faster for support items from amazon then china?

At one time a part from here (offical china store). Can be got from amazon store.

amazon, especially if it has free returns. Just pop over to the local store taking returns and drop it off.
I really don't think vendor matters. They will just change their name when the heat starts on them.
Look at the brands amazon banned from the site, they have re-emerged under new names but the product is the same.

I agree with Ken above, anyone who buys a Yong Heng should stock some repair parts and just be prepared to repair it themselves if it breaks, the exception would be a brand new unit out of the box, in that case, I would buy from an e-bay vendor who has advertised free returns. After three years of use from my last serious service, mine has failed and needs to be repaired, Planning a piston swap this afternoon if I can muster the energy.

Amazon have a 30 days return policy (or maybe 41 ) and after that you are on amazon mercy, they may represent you with a MFG, may not...
Don bother with warranty, I bought (on time way back months ago) a complete cylinder head from official YH store from ali for $50, and I just did a rebuild DIY in November after 3 years of refilling large scba tanks (x2). BTW it was my arrogant mistake running it for an hour with almost empty oil pan.
YH is a good value for $300, people telling you buy a 1+K unit that is crazy, buy 3 YH's instead

I bought my YH from Amazon because of their no hassle return policy.  That was worth a few dollars to me.  I will fix it if it ever breaks but did not want to have to start sources parts for a new compressor.  I've had it about a year now and it has needed nothing.  I use Nuvair oil in it to try and help it keep working well.

Mine ran for three years without issue until I stupidly shorted the oil on the last change and failed to notice it until I took it apart to find out why it has seized, now has a replaced piston assy and working fine again. Now I'm waiting on a new temp gauge from Amazon that reads in Fahrenheit instead of Celcius, the old one needed new batteries, so it seemed like a good time to replace it for $15 since the new one will come with batteries.
