Info/education on the Diana 350 magnum?

At this point no one is sure what his real purpose is, other than to give circular information/arguments.

It's hard to help someone who isn't aware of their needs, problems or goals ...... or a way to prioritize .

I'm sorry if I have given a wrong impression about me or my goals... I'm not trying to tire anyone out or cause frustration...

Truth is this whole springer research is quite new to me and I just wanted to get as much info as possible on some guns.

I may be misreading your post; but if you want to hit a shotgun shell at 100 yards you had better look into PCP's... 2cm groups at 35 yards; however-you should be able to get that from most any gun; with practice and the magic pellet...
Now; if your goal is to have the most challenge possible while doing this-then get a magnum springer 
And a Hectorized Diana ZR mount-you won't regret it!!

For me in .22 id lean towards the diana 350m

At rated 1000fps it should be flatter shooting and harder hitting vs. hw80 at its rated 750fps. With the larger .22 pellets of any weight fps will add up over ranges.

Now if i wanted .177 then id lean towards the hw80.   You got a nice fps and a more non magnum control in shooting .177

Sight in right in to target.   (3" crosman tin) So a a shot shell would be hard as heck to see.  For me with out a scope.  But id say doable..

Shotgun hulls at 100 yards? That's not even easy with a lot of rimfires. Maybe use a Diana 54 or even a 48 but a 350 is stretching things a bit. I'd even opt for a lower powered gun and dial in the best pellet through trial and error. Clay pigeons are more in line with that distance. Yeah, PCP's are an exception but we are talking springers here. Get yourself a good, all around gun. Maybe an R9. Nice trigger, decent power. But, most of all, do some more reading. Most of us here started out by doing a lot of reading. Take a break and search here and elsewhere. Get yourself a bit of familiarity with airguns. Then ask the questions or you may find you can reach a decision by yourself. Haste makes buyer's regret.

That's some good shooting. Now, he can do it, but can I, open sights? No siree Bob! As one old timer 0n the forums used to say, "It's 70% the shooter, 30% the gun".

I have never tried hitting anything with a springer farther out than c. 50 meters (55 yds.) due to lack of space, but at that range I've managed consecutive one-shot kills, off-hand, with open sights on high-power breakbarrels. So, 55 yards is not a maximum range, even for such a "disadvantaged" setup.

The longest springer shots reported usually are done with a D54, which is a unique gun in today's market, being high-power and semi-recoilless. A New Zealand hunter some years back reported a headshot on a rabbit with a heavily scoped 54 at a lasered 100 meters (110 yds.), and several one-shot kills at between 70 and 80 meters (77 - 88 yds.).

The point here is NOT to present very long range hunting shots as something to seek out, but to illustrate what kind of range / accuracy is achievable, without going the glorified plumbing route.

To give a bit more context to the whole long range/100 yard shooting thing; I was discussing about shooting distances with some folks over an airgun related Greek forum, and the claim was that if I really like shooting then I should give long range shooting a shot. The mentioned distance was 95-100 yards.. So... It's not a requirement that I just came up with because I liked how the numbers sounded etc. Thus... I don't know how true that whole 100 yards statement really is WITH a spring powered rifle...  It is what I was told... It seemed a bit excessive/hard to do and that's why I'm asking about it here too...

I remember that young fellow. He was the one culling "possums", wasn't he? Again, an exceptional shot.

It's not that it can't be done. Just that my sole gun of choice would not be a 350. To put it into a powder burner perspective, say .223 vs 7mm Remington Magnum. Both can be accurate but the .223 is a heckofalot easier to shoot off the bench. And, once you've found your gun, there's the hunt for that Goldilocks pellet. It's a long but enjoyable ride.

Here we have a world class shooter who has a hard time hitting shotgun shells at 100.  Either get 2 guns, best option!  Or get a PCP.
As other have said, cm at 35 yards is easy if you practice practice practice.  At 100 the wind plays a major part.  Those greek friends who shoot at 100.  Go visit them when they are shooting and see what they shoot.  Maybe they will let you try their guns??

This is the reason folks on the German Gate are reluctant to help you further .
You don't understand various airgun capabilities at all, and can hardly be expected to shoot well with any gun let alone a magnum Springer .

You also don't want to start now (buy) until after the Pandemic, so please stop wasting our time.

Hector is right, get a D54 (maybe he still has some of his custom built guns left in .20 caliber) as it is a MAGNUM -> all the way, but mostly recoil-less.  Or get a .22 D54. This is gonna cost you $1K - $1.5K to start (scope, rings etc.) Also, remember the D54 is a 11+ lb. gun scoped - not really a-walk-around hunter.

Otherwise, go to the Darkside (PCP Gate) and resume testing everyone patience.

Everyone and their uncle says the D54 is just too heavy for walk-around-style hunting. But then there are guys like the NZ hunter I quoted above, who did just that with his especially-heavily scoped D54. Yeah, he said at first it felt like carrying an anvil, but now, it was nothing to roam the hills and valleys with it. The challenge and the accomplishment again.

Man, if there was a D54 to test out with the logistics licked, I'd do a field test in a heartbeat.

I did not know you were in Greece. That makes a big difference in what's available, be it guns, ammo or lawful ranges. Scopes, too. And this pandemic certainly doesn't help. If you can at all try a couple of guns, just a few pellets, by all means do so. Meanwhile, stay safe and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Tino (or Kosta?), can you even shoot .22 in Greece?  The airgun laws were .177 only the last time I was in Greece unless that has changed.

In any case, you have been given good info/advice here and I will add mine.  I own two (2) 350's, 1 in .22 and 1 in .177 and other Dianas for many years now.  Out of the box both 350's shot inconsistently and also killed scopes.  I had to get them both professionally tuned ($$) to be able to group consistently well with them and remove most of the hold sensitivity.  They also shoot much smoother now with a quicker shot cycle.  I now love my 350's and have not killed a scope yet.

Now having said that I also bought a Diana 48 .22 (side-lever) after the 350's, and I like the 48 even better than my 350's, from the moment I took the first shot!  The 48 out of the box shot way better than my 350's (pre-tune) when they were stock, and was much more consistent than the 350's.  I was getting 1cm groups with the 48 .22 at 25 yards with open sights and without a lot of effort!  25yds is the most I will shoot using open sights because of my poor eyesight, but the 48 can do a lot better than 2cm at 35 yards even without a scope, if your eyes are really good.
 
I also discovered that my 48 was a lot less hold-sensitive, and to be honest I did not really notice an issue with hold sensitivity like I did with the 350's prior to tuning them.  The 350 is highly hold-sensitive (if not tuned properly)!!  Now I know the price difference between a 350 and a 54 is considerable.  I know it has stopped me from purchasing a 54... so I would highly recommend you take a serious look into the side-lever 48 (or 52 if it's still available in the EU) instead of the 350 break-barrel if money is the deciding factor.  I believe the 350 and 48 are around the same price or very close.  If I had to choose between the 350 and the 48, I would take the 48 every time.  There are a lot of benefits to a fixed barrel sidelever over a break-barrel.  The 350 is guaranteed to frustrate you especially at the ranges you mentioned (30+ yards).  The 48 won't.
