Ahhhh.... the peace and tranquility (KA-BOOM!) of country living City folks just don't get.I love it out here.
So, I was curious since I saw a Crosman booklet with a 150 Type one showing the price as 14.95 or so, say $15.00. In today's dollars that translates to $136.25 Since the seller wanted $229, I had to pass on it.
For several years I was looking daily and had a good idea of what was low and high of the offered start bid or buy it now prices. I haven't been looking for the last couple of years because it I came across a great deal I would buy it, LOL. Not that it would be a bad thing to own some variants that I don't, I just am content enough to not look for them. The last 150 I bought was complete (all parts present) but in torn down and I paid $40 Buy it Now price plus 7.00 shipping. I got some real good deals on some of mine.

Please, don't make me cry, Dan The cheapest I bought was $70, the second was 119, both Ted Williams were $250 a piece and I dragged my feet on a 600 for $200 and missed out. No big deal, I know that the market fluctuates, just have to be patient, know the prices and be ready to buy when you find the right deal. There was a folding knife I wanted for a few years, a SFO with only 15 made. I saw one a while back for $350 but I thought it way above what it should be so I waited until a year or so later I bought one in the tin and with the signed letter for $150. Time will tell I guess...I see the one type 1 was relisted at the same price it had before, it looks in pretty good shape but I'll wait.
A lot depends on the sellers knowledge too. I won't low ball an offer but I have a hard time not buying something I like that is priced way below what it is worth. I also have lost a lot of auctions because of not being as willing to pay more than cheap, because if my bid is low and I win I think that is fair, because it was an auction after all.

Dan, if you really want a never shot, new in the box one, look on the first page on this thread. I put a link there.

I was speaking of a new 600 in a sealed box.

If I have one like that new kit, it would kill me to just look at it.
Well, I started the thread and I've learned quite a few things from you and the other folks here. I'm learning about other 150's and a few others but I think that by and large we are sticking to the topic. I will be looking for a Ward variation on this theme, the Benjamin is .177 so I'll pass (for now). I still don't have a shooter's opinion if there is any difference between the type 1 and type 2 crosman 150.
