A question (or two) for the experienced owners of the 150. Is it necessary to remove the metal ring between the valve and the hammer? I just completed the first reseal on my 150 and while removing this part (what a pain) i didn't understand why I had to remove it. I used the Baker Airguns kit, it includes the check valve stem (poppet?) and a new spring for the piercing pin.Are there different valve bodies? Some with the removable filtering felt/mesh/washer/sleeve and others without?
Yet another question: is the Ted Williams barrel permanently affixed to the valve tube?

brewbear, a couple things on your questions above:1. As Rabbit\Squirrel Killer says, removing the solid ring between valve & hammer makes for easier valve removal. Taking that ring out is not difficult but first you need to push the valve forward enough (using a 1/4" or smaller rod) to get the end of its stem past the barrel fastening hole, then a punch can knock out the knurled pin no problem. Cleaning the tube is also easier with it removed.2. The Ted Williams barrel is separate, fastened the same as all 150's.3. The screen was added in May 1959 per factory service manual page 12-B.14. The 150 valve 'piercing body' is the only one with the threaded hole for the grip frame screw - 180, 400 & 160 don't have this.Don R.
This is getting pretty bad folks! I caught the 150 fever!!! To recapitulate, I bought my first Crosman 150 on December 15th followed by a Ted Williams variant on the 19th. Another Crosman 150 joined the flock on the 20th (should arrive on the 28th) and finally (for now) a second Ted Williams bought and payed for but will not ship until Jan. 2nd since JG Airguns is closed for the holidays. Since all the afore mentioned are all the one piece breech and barrel variety, I now need to look for the other varietal.
I see you are doing your part of supply and demand to drive the prices up. With your quick pace you should stay ahead of the increase.

It helps me since I have 14 of the 150 series that I paid way less for, or at least it would if I were to sell any , but I have no plans to do that . LOL

LOL I can't blame you for that, the feel naturally comfortable in hand and even though they're not powerhouse guns they are a whole lot of fun. Now, if there was an LDC for them....

Now, if there was an LDC for them....I live 5 miles out of town on 5 acres with a neighbor that shoots firearms so the noise of the 150 does not bother me or them.
