New to me Crosman 150

Welcome to the 150 club. I have a 157 that belonged to Dean Fletcher. Most of mine were bought suspecting or knowing they needed seals. It's an easy gun to work on.

Here is the scope mount I use on my Crosman 150, attaches to the receiver/action, and clamps down very tight,
I have a Crosman pistol stock on it and it makes a very handy short carbine, with a Leppy 2x or 4x pistol scope,
the only problem is Co2 don't work too well in 15* temps...........LOL

One question: Is there a way to mount optics on the Crosman 150?

That looks like the 13XX shoulder stock! Does that mean the 13XX grips will fit the 150? I absolutely love the wraparound grips but I was looking for customized grips just for S&G. It also looks like the second from bottom, middle row is a bulk feed?

Yes and no. the 13XX stock does work but the grip frame is smaller and shaped a little different than the newer 13XX so the 13XX grips don't fit, The 150 grip frame is the same as older 1377 that had wrap around grips. The grip frames can be swapped with the new style too but there are some hammer and sear combinations that don't work well together. It's been a couple of years since I was swapping parts between the 1389-1377-1322-2289's but I can tell you that these are called Lego guns because of all the interchangeable parts. the 13XX grip frame works on the 2260 rifle tube too. The 130-140-1400-150 barrels will swap too.

Thank you, Sir, and welcome to the fun. I believe I really stepped into this one, I'm going down fast! To recapitulate, I have the 150 I received on Saturday, waiting for the Ted Williams I bought yesterday aaand!!! While looking on-line for custom grips I stumbled on a 150 on American Airguns. This is my first time dealing with  this site so I really hope the seller is a stand-up guy.

I was hoping there'd be an airgun show here this year but no such luck, those vintage Crosmans are always a common sight at very reasonable prices usually.

Living in SoCal, there is a considerable "drought" as far as "gun shows" of any kind are concerned. Remember, the mental midgets in Sacramento banned kangaroo leather products because the kangaroo mouse is on the endangered species list.

On a slightly happier note, I just placed a second order with Baker. This time I ordered 5 tins of wadcutter pellets and two additional rebuild kits for the 150.

When my dad was living next door to me about 12 years ago on 10 acres he kept a "sufficient" number of cats to insure no Kangaroo Rats would ever be found on his land. It worked. He built a "cat house" for them that had a roof pipe entrance and only fed them inside it at night, so they would go in to eat and stay safe from the coyotes all night and he would let them out in the morning.

I went and did it again. Bought this one for something to tinker with this winter.  I've got a couple extra valves that are in good shape if it needs anything also.  I'll find out when I get it.  I remember having one of the bells when I was a kid for a hand me down Crosman 130 from my older brother.

I went and did it again. Bought this one for something to tinker with this winter.  I've got a couple extra valves that are in good shape if it needs anything also.  I'll find out when I get it.  I remember having one of the bells when I was a kid for a hand me down Crosman 130 from my older brother.

what is the best air transfer port nipple to use to get the most flow?I would love to find an all metal type with a flange to sit in the recess and maybe an o ring for some help sealing .  Also do you angle cut into the exhaust valve to help the flow direction quicker? and enlarge the exhust port hole at all. I rememebr getting 460-fps with a 14.3gr pellet for around 30 full power shots.

Brewbear, In your search for the 150 series guns, there is one you want to grab if one ever shows up.

The 150 series was made in two types; the first variation had the two piece breech and barrel, and was made from the introduction of the series in '54 into '56.  The second variation with the one piece breech and barrel was made from '56 thru the end of production in '67.  The first variation came in two types.  Type 1 had the rotating adjustable power setting which was carried over from the bulk fill guns.  Very few type 1's were made before being replaced by the type 2 which had the two stage pullout hi-low setting.

Its been estimated that around 80% of the 150 series were 150's in.22 while about 20% were 157's in .177.  The rare one to look for is a 157 first variation type 1.  This is what they look like:
