Oh they probably be made to exist if you get an aftermarket barrel, say...something from LW? maybe. Cut it to length, crown it, do all the milling to make
it fit the new EMS breech block. Even more if you want the front sight dovetailed for open sights...lol. Custom made muzzle break maybe???

Now dig out your credit card since at close to $400 for just the rifle, then add in that custom machined barrel...

Am I close at $700?

While I've read lots of hype about the 34 EMS and the possibilities, a carbine barrel wasn't one of the hyped items. Maybe ask him in a PM and see
what secrets he might tell you that he may not be able to in public??

Hi Bill,
I have HW50s in .177 and .22, and a 34 Pro Compact in .177.
The Pro Compact and HW50 are are both very accurate, well built, and have great triggers, but they are built for different purposes and power levels.
The Pro Compact as a utilitarian 15 fpe hunter, whereas the HW50S is an elegant 12 fpe sporter.
I've gravitated to mid-powered rather than high-powered springers, and I'm highly biased toward the HW50, especially in .22. To me it's the perfect size, weight, and power level for a springer. It has enough power for pest control and small game, but is a pleasure to shoot. I find the Pro Compact to be too heavy and harsh for my taste, but I would chose it if I had to dispatch a critter larger than a squirrel. That said, I'm sure there are folks who find the Pro Compact perfect and think the HW50 is too light and wimpy.

A compact EMS might be as easy as chopping, rechoking and adding a brake. It doesn't have to be a LW barrel. At my skill level, anyway. 😉

Diana has in the past has had many Compact Air Rifles. Hector posted a link to one version a few posts back. It would make sense that they would have an EMS version. The 34 platform was around for a long time hopefully the EMS platform will also have a long life with many variations.

My .22 shoots great with CPUM and FTT, and the .177 likes JSB 7.87, FTT, and GTO.

Yes...lol....oh wait, I forgot details...Vortek seal, ARH spring kit....14 fpe with FTT 11.42's, they only made 30, mine  is #15

Hawke Airmax 4-12x40...FTT 11.42's at 25 yards...only shot one target to dial in because 1 was all I needed....

I'm very happy that Steve is happy with his CCA D34k.

It was a trip, but the end results were worth it.

DIANA is moving, yet again. Current space is too small and as the airgun industry has exploded a new building was prepared.

It HAS been hectic, hard, complicated and stressful times. Believe me that DIANA is doing everything in its power. It just so happens that some things (like the Pandemic) throw every programming, schedule, plan and goal out through the window.

The short carbine barrel was a part of the EMS spec from the beginning, as explained it is something that was already part of the AM03 models, so there is nothing "new" to DIANA on that.
At present there is not enough production capacity for full/complete rifles, production runs are sold before they are even started, let alone have the time to make accessories or further the full EMS "program".
Will they come? yes, but the real question is when will CoViD stop throwing variants at us, or when will people understand that the ONLY way to stop this is by vaccination and boosters. I respect everyone's decisions, but those that refuse to vaccinate, need to understand they are imposing huge costs on their fellow men (and women). Yes it is their right, and yes I respect them, but that does not mean I agree with them.

Anyway.

What I was referring to when I answered Bill is that there is a way to make a Custom barrel. The Synthetic stocked version is available at PA for $350, so a plain custom barrel (no sights) can add $200; just stopping there makes a very useable rifle. So, not quite the $700.

The fact that this carbine would make the 16 ft-lbs level is what differentiates it from the smaller offerings out there.
