Gun rests?

I think I want a gun rest to shoot in my garage. The question is, which one. I can get a MTM Predator for about 47 eur or a gamo one for about 90 eur, or I can DIY one from 2by2s and some hardware. Which way would you go? The predator is light and simple, gamo has adjustability and DIY might not end up the way I want it

Guess that would be a personal choice really? The two you mention are usable rest's for sure (on the low side), I get along just fine with a Caldwell "Tack Driver" bag, filled with "cat litter"(yes it's heavy,20lbs at least) I can "beat" it into any shape I want an along with a couple of old shot bag's for the rear(elbow pad's really) it's all I've ever needed.

I'm with Jay. Just got my tack driver bag and it's great. I have used the predator rest and it's nice but I like the bags better. With the bags you can better customize your guns position while with the mtm rest you must conform to it's range of motion and adjustability

I use a piece of 4" thick foam cut 4" X 5" from the fabric shop and covered it with a piece of velux material. screwed to pieces of 2X4 to get the correct height. works great.

Hmm, I thought I might copy this one - just use wood frame instead of metal

The jack is also a good idea, I have one extra somewhere in the garage. I think this is might become a build after all. Keep them ideas coming, who knows what I'll end up with
