Received a delivery today from vortek for a new PG4 steel kit for one of my TX’s and I also added a few HW80 vac seals on the slight chance it’ll fit the 30mm piston in the FWB, and bingo! Perfect fit. "dang" near identical dimensions. Just shot over 10 over the chrony and bumped up 15fps over the stock seal. Will probably rise more seeing that it has a new kit with under 100 shots and a brand new piston seal.I knew she would be in better hands. Have you put a scope on her yet?

Excellent shooting Sean. The biggest improvement FWB made with the new Sport model is the trigger group in my opinion. I figgited a bit with the adjustment but never found a setting I liked and set it back to the factory setting. After a few hundred rounds, the trigger groups really started to improve ALOT!!! My advice to you would be to keep a careful watch on the trigger as you continue to cycle the rifle, especially with a positive lockup when cocked. Other than that, I hope you continue to enjoy how much your Sport will improve with use!!

Since the iron sights are so good I decided not to scope it. It's so much fun. I enjoy the challenge and know that IF I scope it, it would shoot just like my TX200 and/or HW77 underlevers. They however don't allow a guy to use iron sights. FWB's iron sights are really precision and precise.I did. Put an airmax compact 3-12 on her. I’d be lucky to hit 2” groups at 30 yards with open sights. Great rifle Greg, thanks for passing her along.

Very much an apples to oranges or maybe pumpkins to oak trees between the FX Impact/Crown and the FWB Sport, but I do understand, since we also shoot PCP. I was a little concerned that I might lose some interest in shooting our springers when we expanded our PCP shooting this year, but if anything, shooting PCPs more has made me appreciate the springers all the more. Love the sense of freedom I get from shooting guns that shoot so well and need no support equipment.
As for the long barrel on the Sport, it works for me. With that Sport stock, there's just enough muzzle weight to make shooting the Sport without a rest a treat. Reminds me somewhat of our HW35E in that respect. Of course, we just shoot in the backyard and are not out in the woods carrying these rifles all day. That said, I'd rather carry the Sport around than our heavier and bulkier under levers. The Sport stock has quite a different feel than even our HW break barrels. My HW95L, for instance, feels a little bloated by comparison. Another feature of the Sport that I've come to appreciate is the safety. Much more user friendly than the safety on the HWs.

Yeah, I'm a bench shooter only - no hunting or walking through the wood (even though I love the woods). My newer R9 has the same stock as the HW95L and Yes - the forearm to too fat and rounded vs. my 1988 R10 with Goudy stock. That's the only thing I don't like about the newer HW95L/R9 stock - I'd re-work the stock if I could get the stain to work out as well as OEM.The one thing I will say NCG - how you can shoot so well without ever tuning anything still amazes me
You know Guys/Gals,I've been following the FWB Sport for a few years now, never "pulling the trigger" to buy because of $$$ vs. any Weihrauch springer from Krale. It's long (aka HW80/R1), has a plastic trigger guard and substandard trigger vs. Rekord. So I've had a hard time adding to the collection as a novelty gun - which I think it likely will be.It's only available in .177 (my favorite Springer caliber) and it's kinda unmanageable because of it's length. I don't need a super long barrel for cocking (the HW80/R1 barrel is excessively long for me). On the other hand, I very much respect the NCG opinion of the FWB Sport.- I think I'm more curious about adding a FX Impact/Crown to check out vs. the FWB Sport even though it's > 3x expensive. The Impact is different enough vs. my RAW's compared to the FWB Sport vs. the HW95/R10/R1.
