Such a pleasure to have guns that make shooting fun and not a job. I realize that the lead sled is not meant for these air guns. Today I went for the walk with the girls down SHOOTING LANE. First took the big sister out and just used the front bag of the lead sled for my rest. The gun when shot last was dead on but with this new rest position the gun was 2" high. Checked everything out after 3 shots that grouped the same and did a re set. Lowered the POI with some clicks and the thing is dead on again. Well, it is as good as the gunner can be. Took the little sister out and the same results. After a re set back to dead on.Just for the heck of it I took the Walther out for a walk being they all had been set on the lead sled. Again the same result. RE set and dead on. Either I had a bad eye (which I DO) when I sighted all these in. NO it is the rest and hold not being the same an not allowing the gun to do what it needs to do for recoil. All 3 guns were shot at the same distance as sighted in. So as I knew better to use the lead sled the guns were on for that position but not on for a correct hold in the Field. GREAT DAY and another proved fact.

If you have not put a vortek kit in it yet do so, I put mine in I had waiting here, and have been wondering why didn't I do this earlier. Great product makes them shoot amazing... straight back no twist whats so ever.. shoots like a 34 on steroids.

I am working up to that for both the .177 and the .22. All ready sunk too much into my hobby right now and still have some problem children (GUNS) to finish straightening out. After they are straight or GONE the vortek kits are next. These RWS shoot great out of the box and I can only IMAGINE at this point how much better they will shoot after some attendion.

German airgun quality will spoil you. I have 2 Weihrauchs, 1 RWS, and 1 RWS copy.
I'd love to have a 34 and a 350.
What are real world velocities for the 350 in .177 and .22.

AVERAGE=838 AVERAGE=831

RWS 350 SPRINGER .177 12 land
PolyMags 8 GR DISCOVERY HP 10.5 GR H&N Barracuda 10.65 GR
AVERAGE=1005 AVERAGE=855 AVERAGE=870

Good grouping and guns digested all of thes fine.

This is the FPSA and FPE but the colums will not stay straight.

Does make a difference. If I can master the polymags with that speed I might have something. I like the Heavy ones for the back yard. I know speed does not mean anything in this hobby. Thanks for your input. I am going back to shooting after the race. It's just great to be able to go and shoot in the back yard of the CITY for a country boy who loves shooting. People think I am crazy at my age spending the money on these guns! Needless to say, I have always been under the EYE of others. But I am the WOLF AND MY GUNS ARE THE WOLF GANG!!! We have been hunted all our lives and we still survive WE ARE AN ENDANGERED SPECIES THEY SAY!!

Hi WHITEFANG,
I recently acquired a 350 Feuerkraft Pro Compact .22 too and i simply L.O.V.E. this gun for hunting but it is way too heavy for all day in the field and was wondering if a chop job drops a significant amount of weight, or not? Also, how does everyone feel about drilling the stock for a rifle sling? I really am hesitant to do so and have been trying to rig a sling w/o drilling but it looks messy on such a sleek looking gun...any thoughts are appreciated.

I too just got me the pro as well. I love the gun but you are right it is a monster in weight. Weight is there and the barrel is short so I am not messing with the length. I am going to cut about 2" of the but of the gun and cut about the same or More off the front. That will not effect the weight much. Scope is a little to far forward due to the 3x9x40 scope front bell. The 3x32 AO is not belled as much and will allow you to move it back. If this works out I will do my other RWS's the same. I measured my REMINGTON 30.06 last night and from the trigger to the but it is about that 2" different. This will shorten the gun up some more. I will look at the gun tonight and get you and answer. I know it can be done. My have to use the screws that hold the stock to the barrel in some was to hold the front sling mount by using a stud type bolt that will allow you to tighten the stock to the barrel and then attach the sling to it. It would have to be a stud that had an hex type mid shoulder like used to screw in and jam the stock and then the threaded stud sticking out to make the attachment. Just not sure of the cocking lever movement in that area.
On another note the muzzle brake is very much weight. We might replace it with and alum one. I think the gun needs the brake not only for the cocking that short barrel but for harmonics as well. That gun is not as easy to cock as the longer Feuerkaft 350.

I am going to hold off on any modifications for now, since i have only had the gun for a month. I think i will try a 3 point tactical sling and see how that feels/looks and go from there. I thought about attaching a mount in place of the screw that holds stock to barrel...we shall see.

Try a shotgun sling ,they just loop over the barrel and the butt of the gun..kelly

I drill and mount sling studs on any gun I can. It just makes way more sense to me than to try toting them around all day. If you use care, it looks like it came from the factory that way.

I modified and attached a 3 point tactical sling to my Feuerkraft PC and it works like a champ! A sling clamp-mount was installed on the barrel just below the muzzle and the 3 point sling's butt harness (gigidy) slid onto the butt of the rifle. The sling came with a web belt that runs the entire length of the rifle, plus an additional stretch-type shoulder webbing for carrying which i felt both of these were unnecessary. The belt running the length of the stock was cut away, as well as the shoulder webbing, making the butt harness and the clamp-mount the only points of contact. This project was relatively cheap, less than $30. Thanks for imput, i am stoked.

I took my stock off last night and the stock is mounted on the front to a u type strap that is bolted to the under side of the receivier. I also noticed that my spring is bone dry. Watch up with this? If this is the casse I would bet that all of my RWS guns need a spring lube. I was wondering if there is anyway to lube the thing without tearing it down for a quick fix. Also I think that I can come up with another fix for the sling as well.

all the RWS for the US market come dry inside like that who knows why???.

Its not the spring that will get damaged its the piston when you cock it it applies pressure to the top side of the piston against the compression tube with each cock while sliding.

It needs a teardown and lube with moly....in the mean time a couple drops of spring oil or even Non Deteregent (API SA) oil till you get the chance.

Set rifle upside down let it drip to top of compression tube and cock it a couple times. Less is better your goal is to prevent galling betewwen piston top and compression tube till you can go in and properly lube it.

so start looking at building a spring compressor ASAP
