Just one air rifle. Your opinions?

Just playing a thinking game here..
Were you to choose just one airgun that would be as versatile as possible, what would it be?
Some parameters:
The gun would handle both hunting and informal target shooting with equal aplomb.
It would have adjustable power for different applications, and would be respectable when it comes to accuracy.
It would be easy to service and maintain in working order.
Your thoughts, gentlemen?

If you're talking PCP, to me hands down would be Disco. Multi-pump would be "Goldfinger" modified 1377. Those two are adjustable in power. Springer would be my v1 Turkish Winchester 1000. Nice, light, powerful and VERY accurate. Actually I can say that about all 3 of my choices. And all three just FUN to shoot.
Happy Shooting!!!!

You did not say anything about price so I would look at one of the FX guns with the power wheel to
adjust it with the flick of a switch. I like my mrods but they are heavy and not easy to adjust, I would
not want to carry one all day in the field.

There are lots of guns that fit your parameters, maybe almost too many guns to bring down to just one.
If pcp, then based on price and convenience I would also go with the Discovery.
If springer or piston, then probably the Titan or equivalent.
If cost were no issue, then of course the Royale 400 in .22! Yeehaaa!
Just some random thoughts as well.

Well adjustable power springers are pretty hard to find
, so you're looking at a PCP. The Air Arms series PCP's have an externally adjustable power setting. So do some of the Korean rifles, but most would be too powerful for informal target shooting. Many PCP's can adjust the power, but it may require removing the stock to reach a screw, something that can be a PIA if you do it on a regular basis.
You could opt for a older HW RX (with the adjustable Theoben ram) or a Theoben, as the rams are adjustable. But you'll need a special pump and gauge, and you better have a chrony too. If you over pressurize the ram, you'll toast the piston seal.

Thank you for the replies.
Yes, definitively a pcp.
I already own a good pump (FX Turbo) so that does not need taking into account.
Price, yes, perhaps another variable to consider. Let's say about $1000, or so, tops.
Please keep your thoughts coming.

Don't know what they are like to service.... but an Air Arms 410-510 might interest you.... Beautiful accurate repeaters.... You can also get a single shot (400)....

The only gun I have at my house is my Disco and it does everything well. Sure, for target shooting pumping it every 25 shots isn't ideal... but it is easy to do and not a big deal to me.
I think the Disco is the way to go.... I got it as my only all round gun... the other two are at my parents house with the 2100 being on squirrel duty and the 3100 too poor of a trigger and too weak to be good for much of anything

Is that $1000 for just the gun? Or gun an needed set up(pump, tank, compressor). We would still need a bit more input to give an answer well.

Thanks again, everyone.
As metioned, this is only a thought I'm entertaining myself with.
Just interested in people's opinion on their "one" gun.

Air Arms S400/S500. Second choose would be a Air Force.
Non PCP would be a Benjamin.
