Dicovery CO2 fill problem

I have filled my 177 Disco hundreds of times with CO2 with no problem at all. Today when I went to fill the rifle the gauge stopped between the red and green instead of climbing up into the green zone. I tried a couple of times then I dumped all the gas out of the tube and tried again, same thing. Filled a 12 oz CO2 cylinder from my 20 lb bulk tank, same thing. I thought the gauge was bad but I am not getting the shot count that I was a couple of days ago. Racking my brain the only thing I have done any different is I shot a dozen (at the most) of the EJ 16.1 grain pellets through it yesterday and I have never shot them in this rifle before. I don't know if that has anything to do with my fill problem though. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, I located the sintered filter in the parts diagram on Crosman's site. I will remove it tomorrow for inspection.

Is the temperature lower?.... CO2 pressure drops with the temperature....

Bob,
The outside ambient temperature was in the upper 60s but I was filling in my garage where the temperature was between 72 and 75 degrees. However, dumping the gas did chill the tube down to where moisture was condensing on it. I counted my shots today and I was mistaken in my previous post. I am getting a shot count that is very close to what I had. So there is a good chance my gauge is off for some reason. Is this a common problem with the Discovery? The gauge doesn't really appear to be a high quality device, at least not near as well made as the glycerin filled gauge on my fill adapter for my SCBA tank.
How would you suggest going about checking the accuracy of the gauge? Can I check the rifle gauge with the HPA fill adapter?

The gauge is a pretty cheap unit.... it could easily be the problem.... although I haven't heard of problems so far....If you have a gauge on a fill whip you can check the pressure during filling but once full the check valve in the male Foster fill fitting won't allow you to do a pressure check on the gun....
