Howdy all, got started last summer when i needed to eliminate some dak rats (north dakota prarie dogs) from my garden. Started with a little remingtin pump but was diapointed with the accuracy. Loved the concept of shooting cheap and quite without the neighboors knowing so I got the .22 Gamo Silent Cat. Since I've gotten the gun I found this site and have learned alot now I'm readdy to use and tune!

Welcome to the GTA Family happy to have you aboard. I used to hunt the P-dog's when I lived in South Dakota and the Whisper should do the job with some well placed fusebox shot's. Ed

Welcome to the GTA jace26!
It sounds like you got into airgunning by necessity and then it grew from there- same here- it's grown into a passion and an addiction, lol.n

Welcome, Jace. There's nothing quite like the sense of accomplishment you feel when taking care of a problem like prairie dogs with an airgun. It takes a level of marksmanship that only a few will appreciate. We are glad you have found the GTA and we want you to feel right at home. Ask lots of questions and just join right in. You'll probably find that there are a number of others who have had the same experience with the 'dak rats' as you have!

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." Thanks guys, great to be here, I know this is a really active community and that's just what you need when this seems to be a sport few in my area know about.
