NOE .22 Hunter long range accuracy?

Anybody have any long range accuracy results that they're willing to share?

Really curious if the 19.6ish grain NOE Hunters can hang with commercial pellets once they get out there, say past 75 yards?

(Would also love to see a BC for them)

I already own this mold, and plenty of JSBs, but might need to rekindle some interest in the cast pellet game if the supply and demand situation continues for heavyish .22 pellets.

 My experience is most all pellets get iffy past 50 yards, if I want accurate beyond then I shoot slugs.

I was aware of those estimated BC numbers, was hoping somebody has shot them from behind a Labradar or even collected speeds at two distances with old school chrono.

Might have to do the experiment myself, if I can just find some time to do so.

The hunters are good out to about 50 yards, but further out the "Magnum Hunters" are much better".

I have shot 45 five shot groups and the .22  JSB Jumbo Exact pellets (15.89 gr) are averaging .70” at 50 yards in the Daystate Huntsman.

Does anyone have information how cast pellets work at 50 yards.   I am not interested in “wallet groups” but how cast pellets shoot repeatedly.  My “wallet group” was .25”.   Posting a .50” group will not impress me.    An average of 15 groups would be valuable.    Please share the mold and alloy you used.   Also, did you weight sort the pellets and if you did, the tolerance used. 

Sorry if I am coming across a bit over the top.   I have seen too much BS when it comes to accuracy claims.   I am not interested in spending time to cast pellets that are inferior to commercial pellets. 

I read this thread, and unless I missed it, no one reported groups....so that leads me to believe they were not worth reporting.   The cheap Crosman’s are shooting just under 1” at 50 yards and I will not waste my time to match that level of accuracy.   This weekend, Amazon had 4 tins of 500 for $26.44.  Too bad they limited orders to 4 tins.

Don if I owned that Huntsman I probably wouldn't even bother with using NOE-217-20-RF (Hunters) in it, I'd be using the NOE 217-24-RF (Magnum Hunters) which cast in pure lead to 23 grains, they're a longer pellet and I've done some remarkable hunting shots with my China built guns at 70+ yards with them.

Have you cast any of them as of yet ? Best bet is cast some and test, .22 pellets are a bit tricky to cast, not everyone gets the same results.

The 25 cal are also tricky, there's a whole thread on this and I still haven't gotten back to a third round of trying with know good lead and some "trick" release agent to see if I can get round skirts.

try pressure pouring the .22 pellets. I think that will give you the best results. not sure what your setup is. I run a lee 4-20 pot and have no issues casting the .22 and .25 ammo. You're fairly close to me. could meet up sometime and I could give you some hands on casting help.

Guys and Gals,

I want to apologize for my previous post on this thread.   I came across as an A-hole. 

After thinking more about the subject of casting pellets I have decided to wait for sales and stock up on what my gun(s) like.   There were a number of issues that made me pull back.   

I cast 9mm and .38 pistol bullets and they work well, but when I tried to cast bullets for my .308 I was not successful.   The smaller bullets and faster speeds brought out my incompetence.    These little pellets will be an even tougher nut to crack.

I have had many good quality commercial pellets shoot mediocre groups.  So even if I had a perfect mold, and made perfect pellets, my gun(s) may not "like" them.   And if that happens, do I blame the mold, alloy, me or the pellet design?    I am amazed that I can shoot consistent sub 3/4" groups at 50 yards with $20/500 pellets and sub 1" with $10/500 pellets.
