Owe Benjamin Prowler an apology

Well I’m manning up I complained about my new Benjamin Prowler saying it was no good, could not get it to group all over the place
So after many suggestions of what the issue could be ,many say its the scope so I purchased a new scope no luck same issue ,so then i changed the rings no luck
Ok so by now i was done but being not one to give up i bought a second new scope [we are at three new scopes now including the one that came on the gun]
Put on a different set of weaver rings i had laying around a new crossman scope and the gun shoots fantastic at 25 yards grouping a quarter size or less unless i pull one.
So my sincere apology to Benjamin for giving a negative review on the prowler, and thank everyone that kept telling me it sounds like the scope.

That is good to hear. My better half told me to go and buy a new "toy" so I was trying to decide if I wanted the Prowler or the Vaporizer. I bought the Vaporizer and had some $$ left. On my way to Walmart I was on the phone with a good friend and he was telling me that he keeps looking at the Prowler but the price was a little more than he could spend (fixed income). I got the Vaporizer for myself and the Prowler for him! Both of us are happy campers ( I gave him a couple thousand cast pellets to play with while I was at it).

The Prowler is a handful, I'm glad you got things figured out. Spring piston/gas ram guns are tough on scopes. When I first bought my Crosman Nitro Venom years ago (same platform) there were lots of learning curves to overcome. I didn't really know about online forums back then and had to learn things the hard way. At one point I heard about the artillery hold, which basically went against most things I knew about shooting. Still working on my technique to this day, but recently things have started to click and are getting easier but still working on consistency.
Thanks to your posts, as well as others I decided to revisit the Nitro Piston platform. Just happend I also own a Benjamin Prowler so that's what I've been shooting the last few days. There are some shortcomings of the B19/Nitro Piston platform that could use some improvement, but they're capable of fairly decent accuracy (with lots of practice). They're not match rifles, but for the price they can be entertaining or make for good hunting/pesting guns if ranges are kept to whare you can keep shots consistent. When it comes to gas ram guns, I'm still partial to the NP2 platform, But it's been fun shooting the Prowler.
Hopefully when your new gun comes in you'll be able to enjoy and compare both. Though I have a feeling you prefer one over the other.
Take it easy.
