AFAIK, the NOE Nose Dies have very little taper, they are intended to size "bore-riding" bullets where the nose rides the lands.... You push the bullet through the bushing far enough to not get to the front drive band.... They are certainly NOT intended to resize airgun pellets.... There are special sizing dies made for airgun pellets that have a lot of taper, and you set the distance the pellet goes into them to set both diameters.... I don't recall the manufacturer's name.... I've been doing it wrong for sure. I water tested my pellets this morning and my skirts are too small after sizing. Thanks for enlightening me.

You might be able to salvage the undersize pellet skirts by using a nose die and slightly compressing them on a .250 - .312 ball bearingto flair out the skirts and then resize them to the proper skirt size.
Eddie I just dumped some sized slugs back in the pot to cast up some unsized slugs to try out in my AEA 25 cal semi auto carbine, I tried the ones that I'd sized previously to try in my Avenger when it was still working. I also dumped sized 357 slugs in there too. I usually let everything warm up for about a half hour before I start casting. The slugs that I'll be casting are the NOE 249-39-RF hollow points. I was thinking about trying the cup points but I'm going to wait till next time for those.
I got a couple of nose bushing coming along with a new 25 cal mold, I'll see if these nose bushings will work for what I want to do etc.I have another heavy duty press that I have converted, will make the process a lot easier I believe, waiting the nose bushings......... Don
