I've haven't seen much at all about the Marauder SAM in quite a while, I think they'll probably discontinue that gun because they're pretty much worthless.
Sent mine back to Crosman for a full refund 3 days after I got it, ordered my AEA Semi auto 25cal carbine and WOW the thing shoots flawlessly. The SAM
I'd shoot 2-3 times and it would jamb, never was able to get a full clip through it without a jamb . . . worthless.

I'll grab the 3x12 bug buster for the Carbine, the 3x9 needs to stay on the Chaser.

The accuracy is very encouraging, hosp got a taste of cphp this morning, 1 down. Hit true, what more can you ask for?

I've got two of the 3x12 Bugbusters myself, I love them little scopes.  I got rained on or should I say sleeted on this morning,I did get a red squirrel and a chipper with my Challenger
this morning.  That Challenger is awesome for sniping the long shots like the red was today. I'm glad I bought that gun rather than getting the varmint barrel kit on my Carbine.

David I was showing the Bugbuster I have on my Carbine mainly, The shot I made with my Challenger that has a UTG 4-16 tactical scope with a 30mm tube.  I probably wouldn't even have tried the shot with my carbine.

I haven't regulated one personally however Southern Gunner did put a regulator in his 30 cal a while back with great results, I think it talks about it in the same video he did about the Challenger pro   Since then I've thought about doing it but just haven't and don't really know for sure if it would be worth it for basically hunting only like I do.

As Wayne said, the Challenger "Pro" series guns are regulated and catered to bench rest shooters. So far I have only seen one regulated big bore, and nobody really likes it, the Umarex Hammer. All the other regulated guns I've seen are .30 and below.

I was thinking of regulating a 22 or 25. It seems the HS would be an issue wouldn’t it? You would be quite over sprung for the regulated pressure? Just curious if anyone had played around with it. I’m really curious how much power would be actually put out by the 25 with say a 150-160 bar regulator.
I also wonder how the pro would perform on its reg pressure being dropped to the same. Interested in these guns but would be fine taming them a bit if accuracy could be maintained.

The jury is still out on that one for me, the used rifle arrives Thursday or Friday. I was probably stupid for trying a THIRD rifle, but the Airforce just don't make me want to buy one. And the used Hammer was half the price of a used Texan LSS CF, and the owner of the Texan said he had to clean the lead out every 5 or 6 shots or accuracy was gone.

I did just regulate my Bulldog, since it is a third party kit it may not count, but ES of 9fps so far in my testing seems promising. Need to try lighter weight ammo and see if that ES remains. This was a Pitbull kit and I'm sitting at just over 200fpe for 10 shots with 155 grain ammo. Didn't want to open the ports up farther and I think this is a fair place to hold the Bulldog. It will never produce what the 50 cal Hammer or 50 cal Texan will produce, so stop chasing it and shoot.

Back to AEA incase Bin is reading, I'd really like a Zeus that takes .510 ammo and has a nice big air supply on it. A regulator (Huma please) would be really cool too. I'll trade my Hammer for it 

Also want to see what tuners like Pitbull are going to make from the Bulldog 457, the air tube is already the same size and thread, so the Huma and high pressure tube are ready to go on. Though on that I really would like to see a bottle like Hammer and Gauntlet.

Greg to be honest I never clean the barrels of any of my airguns but I only use pure lead to begin with on everything.  I never use any pellet or slug lubricant's except for sizing slugs and then it's basically Imperial sizing die wax.

Nice on that bulldog. That is great power from it while being regulated. I’d be more than happy. I might just eventually get one of these challengers and a huma reg and just mess around with it. Be a fun thing to tinker with.

I don't think the lead fouling issue was a fault of the rifle, and probably an ammo issue. Hard lead slugs meant for firearms would definitely foul up a barrel on an airgun pretty quickly.

     I'm with Wayne on cleaning air rifle barrels, seldom to never until I purchased my AEA TD.  After 2k rounds the accuracy went away.  I cleaned the barrel and 4 patches were coal black.  After cleaning I checked again after another tin and patches were just as black but not as many.  First time I ever used JB Bore on a barrel.  Now it stays a lot cleaner.  I also have noticed you have to season this barrel with about 20 shots after cleaning for to start shoot good again.  Most of the 2k shots were AA 25.4 pellets.  They still won't shoot well so I'm begining to wonder if this lot of pellets may be off some where.  Anyway went to JSB and FX slugs and accuracy came back.

I'm trying not to cross-post here but I just wanted to share what's going on with my brand spankin new AEA HP Carbine semi-auto .22. I have been working so no play time this week but on Tuesday after work and before momma got home, I sat down with the HP and after gassing it up to 3k, I loaded the 4th magazine of CPHP's into it and took aim on my 10m indoor target, shot the whole magazine and then loaded the 5th, the first shot hit a little low and yes, I check the bolt position after loading magazines, it was fully into battery, then shot number 98...

A loud pop, the gun degassed itself out of the barrel end and out of the chamber.

Classic poppet issue I believe, I did not try to fix it but I did try to gas it up with the result of air coming out the TP and down the barrel.

98 shots and she's dead. Better sooner than later I supose? I hope to get a video call with Bin Tac at noon today, I took some time off of work to address this as I really like the platform but dislike fragile guns.

Semi-auto guns in general seem finicky, based on what I've read, and airguns are kind of finicky to start with.

Aside from maybe a Marauder I haven't found a single air gun that just anyone could pick up, put a commonly available pellet in it, and hit a 4" circle every time. Even springer shave a specific pellet they like, a certain hold, etc. Even firearms have quirks, but nobody would find an M4 or AK-47 acceptable if it had springer or PCP quirks.
