Indeed the magazines are a deal breaker, there's no going around that. When I had the .30 AEA in for testing I was reminded how awful they are, .........sometimes you need that reminder because with time you forget like I did with the Marauders
From my AEA varmint mods thread…I made my hst externally adjustable and still retained the guide rod. I threaded the inside of rear plug. Made a threaded plunger. Drilled it and cut grooves lengthwise it’s id. Cross drilled the guide rod for a small pin and cut a screwdriver slot in the end of the guide rod. You can access the screwdriver slot from back of plug. Hard to see some of the details in this picture but I’m not home right now to get better pics. Dave
Which Challenger did you get DJ ?
You got a beast there no doubt, I'm thinking about getting another one of their big bores but I'm going to wait til around August or Sept to see what they have to offer at that time, they change so often it's really hard to say.

That is unregulated ? (I see a curve) but so consistent a regulator wouldn’t make much difference. Is this typical for unregulated guns with similar tank / air usage?

I don't know if I'd say this is "typical" but my Benjamin Cayden in .22 (also unregulated) gives me a similar curve when shooting 18 grain pellets.
