On a shooting forum site I moderate, we TRY to draw a line between legitimate complaints and downright vendor bashing. We always support legitimate posts about bad experiences and customer service. Members are always encouraged to seek a resolution with the vendor first, and keep their posts factual and on point.Too often I’ve seen folks buy one gun from a given manufacturer, and get a lemon- then go on to rant in every thread they find that the manufacturers products are ALL pure junk, yada, yada. It gets especially tricky when it’s a site sponsor involved. It can be frustrating to see; sometimes threads about one bad example of an otherwise good design/product can sway people’s opinions and dissuade them from trying an entire brand based on one persons incessant rants.
I've seen several post of some models of AEA guns giving a "puff of air". I've also seen a video of a guy who reviews PCP's and AEA guns FORGETTING to close the bolt on a BIG BORE. Not once but twice in the same video. It blows the sealing o-ring out of the breach/barrel. I ain't saying that's the cause every time, but you have to wonder.

I seen that video you're talking about, it's unusual for a person to fess up to something like that which made the video that much better IMO cause I have yet to shoot my big bore AEA's without the bolt in place, my mags and breech o rings are all still in good shape, I did have to replace a breech o ring on my 25 cal semi auto and it was my fault for casting with a known bad mold that gave wings on the pellets that chewed the o ring up. The reason that I even used that mold was because it was aluminum and light compared the brass mold that I also have.

My .22 Hunter mold will drop winged pellets if it gets too hot, that's how I can tell it's time to take a break.

The puff of air was all from the bolt being open, he hasn't mentioned any ongoing issues so I think he got lucky with the breech seal. The Zeus valve dump is another, he knows he put something together wrong and cause the valve to stick open, not sure if he has shot it since. I will tell you from experience, the bolt slamming open is frightening. I did this in my garage just after pulling the magazine out to refill my Bulldog. At least there wasn't a round in the chamber. I missed the safety and hit the trigger... I am not a fan of the safety being directly in front of the trigger and pulling the same way as the trigger to put into safe.
