Yeah .457 and .495 is so close that the availability of .457 heavy store ammo surely would tip the balance,EPP/UGhttps://www.accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=50-210AAlso I've not been able to find any sizing dies for .495 so that even makes the casting for that caliber harder.
I just talked to Bin ,and he said he is picking up the gun's Monday .... the new side lever gun's . I have the .357 32 inch barrel bullpup ordered from him , and have the nice Aims-sports Alpha 6 scope for it ... I liked the .30 32 inch so much that I had to get the .357 ,... that .30 32 bullpup shoulder's a lot lighter in the field than my .357 standard challenger with 24 inch barrel plus the extra 8 inches of barrel on the 32 should yield decent gain in FPE using the bigger g bullets .... The cool thing about these long barrel bullpups is the crazy power they produce yet they are shorter than my compact DAR guns ,and they bench shoot really well with the way the stock is designed ... out in the field hands down the bullpup long barrel is by far the best if you are going out in the field ,and bench shooting is as stated fantastic also ....

I suppose it is balancing with the power haha. Still a cool gun. The only other gun same size and larger being made was by Extreme Bug Bore. I haven't heard much from them, however. The Zeus Carbine looks fantastic in my opinionhttps://www.airgunnation.com/topic/aea-zeus-carbine-ready-to-rock/?referrer=1Those longer barreled ones look funky in my opinion,...the 32" bullpups in particular look silly to me

I sent an email to Bin asking about the bore size on the .45 and he confirmed it is .457 bore. I also sent an email to Fox to see if they have tried .495 round ball. Right now I'm leaning .45 but will wait a few days and see if I still want it.

Is that including .45's? I'm one anxiety filled click away from placing an order on Bin's website. The folks at Fox got their .50 Bullpup to 608 FPE using 300 grain .498 EPP-UG slugs. Will wait on a scope until I get some trigger time using one of my red dot sights. I plan on keeping shots under 75 yards, so a 2-7 x 50 or something like that. Update: I placed the order with Bin. Hopefully I get a solid rifle and have no issues.Update 2: Ordered some NSA Slugs and Seneca round ball. We shall see what shows up first.

Eveybody remember one thing, Ed from Edgun touched on this a long time ago,......Yes long barrels will give you more power but also with the relative low velocity we shoot our airguns they are also way more hard to shoot accurately, Yes if you have your gun in a vice it's ok but if you put any variable into the mix a shorter barrel is easier to be accurate with then a longer barrel because the projectile takes a long time to exit.I found that one out with the 28" Bulldog barrel, if I did everything right it was real accurate, but the smallest mistake and bye bye.I will not ever get a PCP with a barrel longer then 20" again,....go check Ed's video about accuracy with shorter barrels, the guy knows more then most big mouths around the forums. One project I had in mind was to get a Bulldog, cut off 8" of barrel, cut the shroud even with the end of the airtube and I bet it would make a sweet Bullpup,......I might still do it if I ever get a shop again and spare funds.I had the same Idea for the AEA Challenger .30,.....so many projects ideas so little money to execute
These are the slugs I've been able to find so far
Yeah the .50 slugs may be expensive but I don't know what most guys do with a .50 big bore air rifle but all I want to do is get it sighted in for deer hunting and then I'm set. I'm sure at first being new and all I'll shoot it a little more but basically once it's sighted in I'll treat it like my slug gun or muzzle loader, it sits in the safe till deer season.

That is a good point Manny, we often forget about the impact of longer barrels on our accuracy. It is a hard balance. It always amazes me just how much Edguns fit the bill of excellence in concept.Back to AEA, what levels of energy are the Carbine Zeus' getting? Is there a .50 cal of the Zeus (easier to get that ammo now)?
Well some people just don't get it, cannot help that LOL....And they just drive off on tangents
