You'll see on the box where the original bolt handle went!
Probably rough handling since there's a great big hole in the box!
The metal part I added I actually like better then the stock part having shot Chris's .30 in Iowa.
I may change it to black IF I get it back.

Time with this Gun and Evanix could be out the window.

I removed the fletching. So far I have only fired an arrow once. When I was going through my quiver to get a 2219 I saw an arrow that had most of the fletching damaged/gone so I used that instead - a fiberglass mix arrow. I didn't cut it down any, and the resulting "airbolt" stuck a couple of inches out of the end of the shroud. Weighed 432 gr.

I am not sure if the POI will match the lead POI since I have only fired one shot and it didn't, um, cooperate and stay in the target. Huge over penetration. Maybe wouldn't be a problem if I was hunting a whale or African elephant...

I also think that the key is to have something in the muzzle end to center the arrow like the AirBolts have

I didn't watch it all, I'm doing 5 things at once right now, but on the paper at 50 first shot, then with your adjustments pretty consistent, and nice shooting btw..

Is it just a single o’ring stretched over the shaft, a little smaller in diameter than a breech o’ring? And is it’s job to center the shaft at the muzzle only, or is it further down the shaft and is a bore rider”

On the airbolts it's an aluminum tapered piece that fits on the end of the shaft where the head screws on. It butts up against the muzzle and centers the arrow shaft in the bore.

Also the .357 Airbolts have a 4-5" of velcro as a bore rider where usually the flecthing is

Yea, my only issue was when I changed a mag and didn't press the bolt home. It takes effort to press the first pellet into the chamber. I did the same thing for the next round, but noticed and pressed it in. No problems then.

When it's running normal, it "cough's" out each round. When I f'd it up, it made a resounding "PING" sound. There's no way you can miss the different report when you are the operator.

From here on out, unless you really want a bolt action, I can't see why anyone wouldn't just go ahead with a semi-auto. Now..... Will it last for years? Only time will tell.

There's several rubber/plastic blunts that slip over the shaft and are tapered, that is where I'm going to start looking at, cut the front off so can screw the point and broadhead on.

Those are the ones I am looking at.

I see blunts with a 8mm size, would that work also?

I ordered 3’4 inch Velcro tape also.

Waiting on the arrows for now in case I find a 6 pack of 2219 26 inch arrows. I would rather use carbon arrows, but I am ignorant on what carbon arrows are the same dimensions to the 2219.

Well it all depends what size shaft you end up getting, I will be measuring the OD of my Airbolts so I can start researching what shafts to buy and then what blunt to buy,......still would prefer that the .357 AirBolts come back into production

Yes, I would rather buy them from PA, but they are AirVenturi products, AV uses a lot of asian products, right now asia is experiencing a major Covid surge, I have waited for well over a year now, put WTB adds to no avail, time to start making them.

measured my airbolts and the shaft OD is .265
