would like to have an Idea of how high open sights need to be, if not it's ok.

Here you go. The right corner sit about  3/16" above the center of the dovetail.
It looks like a dovetail open/peep sight would clear. IMO.

Tried the Hunter Supply 133 grn bullets.
They would be single load IF they worked.
Problem was they won't seat. Had to put a rod down the barrel to get it out!
Maybe if one resized them they would fit.

I think if you had that gun the rats would all pack up and move on out ! LOL !   I remember years back ccalls i think is what he went  by on here shot a crow with the .72  on helium , and it was just feathers laying around left after impact at around 1200 fps !
