Congratulations on the purchase of a fine new gun. If this is your first Hw30 you're gonna love it. If it's not your first, you don't need me to tell you that  The anticipation of receiving a new rifle is a wonderful thing.

Yes, its my first air rifle, and I have had my eye on the Weihrauch HW30 for awhile. Looking to get outside, learn, and teach the daughter how to shoot. Sounds like some fun times ahead!

The 30 is light and easy to shoot. BTW, mine shoots RWS, H&N, and JSB superbly. LIkewise, it shoots various grains from 6.9-8.64 exceptionally well. For target practice I shoot the lighter pellets and get equal accuracy from domed and wadcutters. I've got mine scoped . . . and it's capable of 1/4" ragged holes at least out to 13 yards for me. I use it for pesting--out to 35 yards. With head shots, it's very effective.

Yes, I feel I made the right decision going with the Weirauch HW30S in .22
The only thing I could find for pellets at a decent price were JSB 13.43, $70 shipped 2K total. But that should keep me busy for awhile.
I take really good care of my rifles, and this one looks like it will perform well, age well, and ride well next to my CZ 457 Scout and 527 youth carbine. I like rifles light and mobile. I plan on scoping it, but going to play with the irons a bit before I do. It will probably get another Hawke scope like my other rifles.

Just be prepared to learn a different discipline. While a HW30 is a very forgiving spring gun it is still a spring gun and you firearm skills will NOT directly translate.  Develop skills with a spring gun, however, and it will pay dividends with the firearms.

You know the HW30 is a good analog for the CZ scout / trainer / light rifles. Similar handling characteristics to be sure.

Glad to hear you got one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.
 I have two both are .22 one is the Deluxe other is the new style stock.
Also have a variety of CZ rimfire rifles. I have often thought the  Weihrauch and CZ where cut from the same cloth.
To hear someone actually mention CZ here is interesting.

When AOA called yesterday to tell me they had a HW30 in stock. I got a pleasure from telling them I had bought one from another supplier.   I did not say the name of the other supplier.

I too am looking forward to delivery of a HW30s next week from AOA. I’m getting standard new style stock in .177.  I got some JSBs coming too. This will be my first springer. I’m a backyard plinker/target shooter. Still trying to decide if I should scope it or get a peep sight for it.

Hi I’m new to the site but enjoy looking and learning more about this hobby I have. I have a Hw30s deluxe.177 and probably the best brake barrel I have out of many. Just bought a Hw30s.22 from AOA can’t wait to see how it looks and shoots. Just wondering if it’s going to look like the picture on the site.I know I shouldn’t be disappointed .

+1 with Cslinger. Shooting my springers daily in the yard has made my off hand rimfire metallic silhouette shooting a whole better. Although in all honesty the powder burners don’t see much use these days.

That's a common story - springers satisfy the shooter, while offering massive advantages in running costs, unobtrusiveness, shooting opportunities etc. over powder burners.

I now have 2 ,one in 177cal and the other in 22cal. Thats how much I like them. Incidentally ,they do love the domed  JSB GTO non lead pellets at 11.75grains. And mine is chrnographing them at 600fps. for a just over 9ft airrifle.
