RE:Baker mount on a 392S. Lowest height ring set with of bolt clearance please?

I've studied postings and believe the Baker breech mount scope base is the best for me on a newly ordered 392S. I also studied photos of others' Baker scope mount arrangements and note that most use rather tall rings to allow bolt clearance. I'd prefer lower over the rifle bore, but know there are functional concerns.Without base in hand to measure base height I don't know dimensions I can add up. Any thoughts on the lowest scope ring heights I should order as a start point that allow bolt function please? My handsome 392PA wears Williams rear aperture so I cannot gather dimensions from it that help me.

Don, This may help. I have seen folks using tweezers to insert pellets when their fingers are just too big. (any adult finger)
It will not be fast, but if you are a target killer, speed will not be an issue.

You make a very good point. Gentle tweezing could be a good approach. I know I got pretty good with them as an ER nurse and parent of two active children! Why not pellets too(?).
I do find that at least on my 392PA, I can lay the pellet in the open pre-chamber "tray" and manipulate the pellet into battery without damage by aiming the muzzle downward, as I move the bolt carefully  forward. A gentle shake helps (but remember, more than three shakes and you're playing with it). I am concerned a lot with how low I can mount the scope and have freedom of bolt movement and function.

Medium rings should work unless your really big in dia. on the ocular end.
Low rings may require bending the bolt for clearance on some scopes.

Just this am I changed my rings to the lowest I could find and those are B-Square low rings. These rings are  .170+ less height than the medium/low I was using -- I want the lowest to the bore I can get. Tim's mount is almost there but IMHO it needs to be another .200+ lower mount height. I would also like to see the edges taken off and more rounded for esthetic reasons. JMHO !

Question about the Baker mount - it says it can accept both Weaver and dovetail rings, but I only see two sideways Pic grooves on it, one near the front and the other near the back. So can Pic rings be mounted only in those two positions?

    I have "BKL-257 0.6" Long Dovetail Rings" on one rifle with a Baker mount, the bolt is close but workable.

Timmy Mac used (may still have) to have an adapter which screws in to the end of a drilled and tapped bolt to provide a straight pull back. Eliminates the bolt clearance issue.

Thank you all for the replies. I had a career as a tool and die maker. Yesterday as I did a first exam of my 392S when UPS delivered it, I studied the bolt. I believed, as I looked at it, that I could modify the bolt with a knurled knob rather than a turn-down bolt handle. Basically stealing the same design as seen on my 20 year old Crosman/Sheridan H9A .22 multipump pneumatic pistol. That would address the high ring set issue right thee. No time before rotator cuff repair this coming week however.
