Mike, thanks for the encouragement. I have a pump that I've never even tried out because I like to use dry filtered air from the dive shop.I just may give it a try. Hunter
2500psi is easy pumping too, there's a lot of difference when you get to 3600psi.
Mike, that is smart air usage! I used to pump all my PCP’s but have a tank (am exactly 1 mile from Joe B’s for fill) and compressor now like you. Pumping is not too strenuous if done correctly and slowly and is good cardio! LOL!

I’m in Pasadena and my local dive shops don’t even charge over 3k. Anyway , it’s nice to be self reliant.
Well 150 strokes took my Condor from 1500 to 2300; yeah I did break a sweat. I think I'll try for 2600. So, 60 more?Hunter
Yep, same as you, about 5 PSI per stroke on a 490cc bottle.Hunter
I continued to 250 pump strokes and ended with 2700 PSI.Yeah CARDIO is just what I need at 70 years of age. 🏋♂️🤪
I used to hand pump for years. I have found that some hand pumps create more volume than others. The bundled pump that came with my hatsan flash pup beats my hill and fx stage 3. The fx is in a slight second.
Back when I got into PCP, I bought a Sam Yang Recluse 500cc, then shortly after an Airforce Escape, 250 cc ? Hand pumped them both for a couple years, then the Bargain gate quickly added more PCPs to my heard. I have not touched a hand pump since getting my Shoe Box and also a Spark like compressor as my mobile backup. I get my cardio while working or hunting
