FX Impact M3....I caved and bought one

Well I thought the day would never come that I buy an Impact.....well I fell for the hype train and bought an M3.
For years I refused and instead purchased a jsar raptor instead. It fell short on some of the promises, too bad because I loved the looks of the gun. Plus I just wanted to support an American business.
So far I am very impressed with the Impact. Build quality feels great. It is in .22 cal with a 600mm barrel. It shoots lights out at 50 yards. I love the quick tune system and the valve travel control is a game changer. It is currently tuned to 880fps with jsb 18gr. Regulator is right below 90bar. It is very quiet and gives tons of shots. 28 pellets in a mag is simply amazing.
So far one of my complaints is the very recessed foster fitting. My omega trail charger quick disconnect doesn't even fit in the tiny opening in the trigger guard. Had to swap the quick disconnects with my GX hand pump. I have already purchased an extended quick disconnect from donny. In my opinion FX should be including that part with the gun.
2nd complaint. The FX AR grip is just not for me. For the money should just come with an ergo grip. At least it's just an AR grip and is easily replaced.
I expect lots of fun shooting this gun this summer. I may venture into slugs, or maybe just shoot some 25gr monster redesigns. My poor taipan veteran might be taking the back seat this summer.

I love my FX MKii... It's got well over 30k rounds though it. I got different barrels for it too.
FX makes great guns. Yes pricey, but they are an investment.
Crosman/Benjiman and Brocock are my next favs.

That looks awesome! I've eyed the Compact version but I just can't do it. Too much money for what I want to invest in the hobby anymore. But man does that look good!

How long did you have to wait after you ordered? I am two weeks into my wait and I think it’s going to be a long wait!! It looks awesome and happy to hear it shoots lights out. I will order the fitting for my pump. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks guys. It was definitely the most I've ever spent on a gun. But it's been very impressive so far. Worth the money for the features and accuracy.
Dillon, I almost bought the compact as well, but ended up with the standard because I'm a shot count junky. I need tons of shots lol.
Websjk,
There was no wait for me. I purchased from a local dealer in San Antonio, TX. They are called Alamo airguns. He just received a new batch and I called to place a deposit.
I am by no means a trigger snob, but the veteran trigger is noticeably better. Like way better. But the impact trigger si by no means bad.

I absolutely love mine as well. Almost pellet at 50 and 70 yards. Shooting JSB 18.13 @ 944 with amazing groups, and getting 130 plus shot count.

Look on the bright side: You waited long enough and got the newest version! I'm not going to sell my Mk2, but the M3 certainly has some really great features!! The ease of tuning that's built into the M3 is pretty awesome! Caliber swaps are far easier now as well! Plus, with the larger plenum, .357 won't be as much of a strain on the M3 as it is on the Mk2. The Mk2 was pretty well tapped out in .357...

Still haven't caved here. A lot of $$$ for the rifle. Until i see groups that will floor me, im just giving up shot count with my old skool pcps. I shoot 95 percent from a bench, so no biggie.
I never said...boy, if I only had xyz gun while shooting/ hunting.
Have fun

Yeah, Jacob, you should sell that janky M3 ( to me ) and keep shooting the veteran!

This is my solution for the recessed fill port. Now it's a piece of cake to refill on my bench.

Congrats.
I got a maverick 30 cal VP (600 MM barrel) about 2 months ago. had a lot of issues in the beginning.
All worked out now shooting NSA 43.8 slugs at 990 FPS... 95.35 foot pounds energy into 1/2 23 rd groups at 50 yds not a hole lot bigger at 100
It shoots the FX 44.8 gr pellets, the NSA 43.8 or the 47.2 equally well.
got the heavy slug liner as well and it loves the NSA 61 gr slugs
But I have a huge hankering from an M3 700 MM so this one might just go up for sale

Today I received my extended foster fitting from donnyfl. 1000% easier to fill it now.
Also bought a KLS2 stock and K&L gen3 extended rail and a great discount from the classifieds on AGN.
To me the price is steep, but worth it. I always say, if im going to use and get enjoyment out of it. It's worth it. You only live once. Might as well enjoy life!
Sure glad I waited till the m3 came out to buy one, to me there is no mods to do for my purposes. Very capable gun out of the box.
Hunter white,
Lol, The m3 trigger is growing on me. I guess it gets to stay a while longer.

Sounds like you have it all kitted up.
Might want to look at the "Ultra Grip probe carrier" as well. Seems the tiny lock screw for the pin probe wants to vibrate loose. Can't locktite it as the 1.5mm screw head is easily stripped.
Even Ernest Rowe suggests adding a cut oring to the upgraded carrier to lock the screw in.
I am curious to see some groups
