Benjamin Trail NP Mark II - shoots low

Need suggestions on how to get this to shoot to point of aim. Rear sight is raised as high as it will go and group is 2 inches low at 10 yards using a 6 o'clock hold. Installed a longer trigger adjustment screw to get rid of long creepy pull and now groups well. Did not plan to add scope or red dot but may be only option. Lockup is solid and screws are loctited. Breech seal is good. Been able to bring a gun that shoots high to lower group by shimming breech seal but need ideas how to raise group.

Shooting low with open sights is far less common than shooting low with a scope as the sights are on the barrel. I believe you raise your rear sight or lower the front sight to raise the point of impact. If your sights are adjusted to the limit check the barrel to ensure it is straight. At what distance are you shooting? I suggest ten to twenty yards as a starting point. Is it a new gun? You may have a defective breech seal or piston seal whether new or not but if it's new there is a warranty. How's the cocking effort? It's possible the gas spring has leaked a bit of its charge. If the sights are adjusted properly and the gun is mechanically up to snuff and it is no longer in warranty you may need to bend the barrel. There should be an easily built bending tool on the library here or on the charledatuna.com website. Good luck on your quest.

Is this NP MkII the pistol ?
I have the MKI - and looking at the EVP.
Part #8 and the spring #7 were gunked up and not latching good - I cleaned and strengthened the spring.
I read about this in a post somewhere - do not know where now.
Then I put a small screw backwards into hole inside the spring to add a little preset to spring.
Too much screw head thickness or screw length and pin will not go into hole far enough and barrel will not latch.
Mine latched better and raised POI some.

what if we removed all the warning labels, and let nature take it's course?

As I recall, they also had a tendency to shoot low, if the cocking aid was left on the barrel.

correct on shooting low with cocking aid. Eventually bent rear sight up and reinstalled where i can use rear elevation screw and now shoots spot on. I now do not use cocking aid.
