So, I'v shot guns since a small kid. Love to shoot. I live in a rural area, were there is no safe or legal area to discharge a fire arm. I had bb guns as a kid sure, but I just picked up an "Adult" affordable, entry level pellet rifle and I'm actually impressed with the power. After purchase and some reading I discover that the gun I have isnt the greatest around. I'm a DIY kinda guy and love all things mechanical. I want to do some work to this thing.
So a quick google search gave me my first task, Working that trigger! I'v honed out and tweaked trigger systems on other firearms, The trigger settings and machining on this rifle out-of-box was sorry, now her trigger pull is butter!
So, thanks for bringing me onboard here on GTA! If anyone can point me to information on tweaking, super-tuning the Beeman RS2 I'd really appreciate it.
Whats next? I'd like to see a stronger main spring, and improved seals!

Welcome to GTA Tuxit09, great to have you here.
It sounds like you would be interested in checking out the Shop Talk and Airgun Mods gate. Have fun tweaking your new rifle- there's several guys around here who
love
the Chinese airguns, have forgotten more than I'll ever know about them, and will be happy to help you out.

Many thanks for the welcome's!
dk1677, target practice. I have learned already you have to be a finer marksman with an air rifle than a firearm due to the slow nature of the pellet traveling down the barrel... a nice challenge.
lizzie, i'm going to go hunt those guys down!

I am getting back into airgunning again for that very reason. Being good at shooting a springer air rifle makes you a better powderburner marksman as trigger-control is more critical as well as you have to hold your follow through a lot longer. As a primary marksmanship instructor in my enlisted Marine Corps days, lack of follow-through along with improper trigger control were the two most common marksmanship errors I have seen. I am starting my wife and kids out with some medium powered springers to teach BRM (Basic Rifle Marksmanship) with. Once they master the basics, I will move them over to my AR-15.

Welcome, Tuxit. We're glad you're here. You might want to check out the "search" feature by typing the gun's name into and pulling up all the posts that mention that specific one. It should give you more than you would ever want to know! Of course, feel free to post your questions as well. These guys and gals love questions. They'll do their best to help so jump right in.
