Water coming out compressor hose

So I know for a regular work compressor u open the release valve at the bottom and the water shoots out. Do I just do the same thing for my pcp compressor or do I need extra filter lines to protect the avenger. Thanks in advance. I have the gx cs2 compressor.

I don't know what compressor you have but yes an inline water separation filtration is necessary. Cheap ones do not have this but high end ones typically have it built into the unit.
