I took the 22cal Walther Talon Magnum out for a spin today.

I was shooting 22cal Crosman 14.3gr. Hollow point pellets.
I spent about 30 minutes of taking pot shots at "targets of opportunity"
I then set up a target out at 50 yards.
I took 15 shots, shooting at a 6 inch Shoot N See stick on target.
I was standing shooting semi off-hand with the rifle braced on an upright door jamb.
All the shots were within 2 inches and many landed inside the 1 1/2 inch inner ring.

Got out the beeman sprtsman and the Gamo Swarm Whisper for a little plinking fun. The Beeman is just oron sights, but I was still hitting targets 9/10 times at 10m. Then the Whisper in 22 was pretty much one hole on target. I then took pot shots at a sucker infestation. I even managed to tag a few with the beeman with iron sights.

The suckers are about the size of a penny, for reference.

Fitted an old cheak pad to my Fusion 2 (HPA). Really seemed to help me hold center with my non AO scope.

Center target was trying to zero using R10 match pellets. My Fusion 2 is unregulated, so some of the light, flat nosed pellets were flyers from traveling too fast for stable flight and were tumbling.

I then switched to Crosman Pirannahs, with were heavier and more rounded. Those were more like nail drivers. I put the first three shots through the same hole!

Bottom right was after some scope adjustments. I call that good enough.

D34 after some locTite on the front screws. About 11 yards, front rested on my turned up palm with towel folded over porch rail. Smaller holes 3 Crossman Premieres, larger 3 Crossman Destroyers. Definitely under 50 rounds fired so far. Stock sights, loose nut behind the trigger.

I shot a few groups on both Saturday and Sunday this past weekend.
I was shooting my dream tact with the 22 barrel installed.
I had been shooting JTS 22 grain pellets a couple weeks ago and I tried to shoot FX 18.1 pellets at the same tune. I didn't chrono the first day and I shot some 30 yard and 50 yard 5 shot groups. I realize that 5 shots aren't exactly exemplary of what the gun can always shoot, but I think 5 shots is enough considering how much ammo costs.The 30 yard groups were decent, but the 50 yard groups weren't tight enough for me.
The next day I decided to concentrate on the 50 yard groups only. This time I checked the velocity and the 18s were running around 950 fps +/- 3-4 fps. Way too hot for wind and longer groups.
I started tuning the 18s by shooting a group and changing the hammer spring by 1 click each group.
After 5 groups I finally got the speed down to 920 fps+/- 3-4 . This tightened my groups a bit, but if a storm hadn't been coming, I would have had enough time to tune it to around 910fps +/- 3-4. I believe the grouping would have been even tighter.
Anyway... It seems that the barometric pressure, temperature , and especially the wind, from day to day, can change accuracy quite a bit.

Only had one marker, was visiting a friend and took the Ruger Air Hawke with me, which I haven't fired in years and years and years and

On the 2nd group, it got dark as I was firing that last round, probably that leftmost hole.

A little high with the rear sight adjusted all the way down...

I got back out today and shot a few groups at 50 yards again.
This time I was using the JTS 18.1s.
I had weighed 3 tins and separated them into 3 groups.
1. Pellets weighing less than or equal to 18.02 gr
2. Those weighing between 18.03 and 18.07
3. Those weighing more than or equal to 18.08
Today I used the heavier pellets.
I played with the velocity a bit between groups and I finally pulled them into acceptable size for me.
I started out with groups up to around an inch at first and then I eventually got the speed right.
I had several groups less than .375" by the time I finished.
Now I need enough practice to keep the group size at most .500".

I was just wanting a little feedback,if anyone would like to give an HONEST opinion.

Have any of you guys/gals shot for grouping with the 22 caliber 25.39 redesign monsters, and do/did you have to push them up to 950+ fps to maintain decent grouping between 50-75 yards?
Also... I have noticed that the monster redesigns destabilize easier in the wind more so out past around 70+ yards.
It seems the 15.89s and the 18.13s are easier to control, even with the drift, than are the redesigns.
Of course these are just the results I have experienced and are only my opinions based on these results.
Assuming I'm lucky enough to wake in the morning and the weather is desirable, I will post some results tomorrow.

Well, I got out this morning at 70 and I had a few minor speed adjustments to make to get the groups to close up.
Unfortunately I shot a few groups that were so so,a couple that were decent (below .500" c-c), one really nice group of less than .375, and my final group ( the one that's circled, without a measurement) went to *(&^. I don't know what was up with it.
Anyway, I still have some work to do to get repeatable accuracy and precision

This Shot group was made late Thursday afternoon August 17, 2023.

It was 25 shots at 25 yards with a 117cal Stoeger S3000C spring piston rifle.
The pellets were 117cal Crosman 7.4gr Poined Pellets.
This was a sight-in type shot group.
The center hole was made after I got the scope dialed in.
There is one hole that is high and to the left.
That was a shooting error on my part & caused by me jerking the trigger.
I was shooting seated and semi-off-hand with the rifle braced on a door frame.

As you can see, the rifle was shooting low and way off when I first started.
It had been previously sighted in for 117cal Daisy 7.2 Precision Max Pointed Pellets.
The center hole was made after I got it dialed in.

Off a caldwell rear bag, scoped with a yunk Optima that I just mirror optically centered (typically drift a click or three at first 2-3 shots). Crossman destroyers, only 22 feet. Carp I expected better, maybe the scope was still settling.

Had a thought, check the crown...

Long story, front sight was replaced under warranty (they left a stripped bracket). Maybe it's epoxy?

Scope was moving. Blob looking thing was "sliver" of plastic, removed with xacto knife. It helps to put the scop stop on the correct side of the scope. A redo is in order...

Took scope off D34 and moved it to recently acquired Beeman 0035, first 3 rounds at target with that scope and loose-fitting pellets. It did better (not great but better) with Daisy flat nosed pellets on first test firing at longer range. It ain't the scope...

Groups of 3 usually, especially when I'm in the grove and it's looking good, otherwise I'll get nervous and mess things up. After all, most of us would like to know what the rifle is capable of first, then secondly what we are capable of. If it's the former sometimes you quit before the latter messes things up
