This 5 shot group measured .600", 2 shots hit the same spots. This is my best group with an air gun so far to date.

Seemed he wants to up it to a 30 or somthing. ...    With h a distance grouping like that makes a good selling point for the seller and shows a buyer its a capable gun...

Kinda like my r9 if i could easy sell it off it be long gone...    Great gun but a guy can do better for less .   If i could go back in time id probably never bought it to start .    Some guns just that way.    Nothing tealy wrong with it just dont fit you for a reason.  (Opinion)

Lol... Sounds like how my gamo was,. At first not too satisfied cursed gamo , but it ended up my favorite .  It just took far too many " break in" shots  then one day it just came together...out of the blue.


Well so much for bragging. ..  my first cup first 5 at 100 with the hatsan 95..

Just cant get over that to the right hitting ..   clicking left dint seem to help my none lately ( any gun)..   just after 7am and sweating like a stuxk hog..   maybe the humidity the pellets are cutting it like bilustic gell...lol. It's mean.

Deeco, have you noticed any pellet spiraling at distance or are they tracking true? Either way, that's impressive shooting. It really doesn't take much of a breeze to push pellets off course down range, but I kind of wonder if pellets are more effected by high humidity at longer distances.

I need to ask for my mold listings to be taken down, I got one of them to work with the proper sizer and the  NOE 249-39 slugs up to size by knurling them with a file. Have yet to test and see if accuracy is improved, but I'm expecting it has. The icing on the cake will be any efficiency gains by the decreased surface area from knurling. They were too inconsistent pre-knurling for a direct comparison, but if it breaks 75 FPE I'll know.

I begrudgingly admit that NSA slugs are worth the money. I get PB-like performance when using them with my Eagle Claw, hopefully the knurled slugs are comparable. The BBTs are comparable to NSA, but only at the expense of using a ton of air, because they group poorly at anything other than max power and 900-ish FPS. The NSA slugs work well at the next poppet setting down and I get two or three times as many shots per fill with only a few less FPE. In fact the NSA 33.5's don't shoot well at all with the poppet at the max setting, but the 43.5's do, and I think it's because both the BBT's and NSA 43.5's are just a touch too long for the twist rate without sending them super fast. Unfortunately there's nobody left to tune these Korean guns, so I'll probably have to step up to a more powerful .25 cal or .257 if I want that higher efficiency with heavy slugs (75+ FPE).

Yaa, maybe ?    Hard to say in crosswind.

I do a windage check at 10m 20y or wherever i got the light stand rack at the time.

I make a vertical line through a aim point ,shoot and adjust windage left or right . Then proveed to distance.

Thats a tough call to make on if it is or wind push.    If it is off it not much.   

Some times i wonder if i cant my hold or trigger pulling  as well seeing i got that common issue in all i shoot ..   my eyes aint getting younger as i go ether..

It's crazy how switching pellets makes a huge difference. This was shot at only 7 or 8 yards with a Gamo PT80 pistol (standing). First group (center) was with Daisy hollow points and low left was with Crosman points (from milk carton).

Same PT80 and Crosman points, pulled a couple shots and held too high for all but one, but I'm happy with the results so far.

I would re try newer daisy wads/ flat if i could get them easy..

I had to bite the bullet and do a mail order but the place did not have them. They did have ones in a normal tin..   i passed on them .

I had bought some Crosman penetrators (I think they were) just for the pellet box, Lol. Crosman also had a belt pellet holder cheap ($5-$7) for a long while that I liked, but if you didn't stay upright you'd risk losing pellets  (just a Velcro pinch top, no flap if I recall correctly)

I switched to some Beeman wadcutters that shot about the same out of the PT80  as the Crosman pointed, except with somewhat cleaner holes. If the trigger wasn't so heavy, I think that pistol would be a solid performer. I really hope it lightens up with use (I've only shot it single action, double action is far too heavy), but won't hold my breath. I didn't see any way to adjust it, but curious if It could be made to slip fire...
(Technically it's a revolver action  )

Mine sure did! I got three complete turns at 100 yards from CPHP's at 1000fps. At 1200fps, they all hit OK but 1000 was the worst of all speeds for me.

Nothing outside of overpriced overhyped .. oh....comes loose and lasted maybe a year on the spring...lol.  like a ford edsel😜

The date on my camera is totally wrong, I have to fix that. This is my best group from yesterday shooting NOE .249-39 (36.4g actual weight) cast slugs knurled and sized to .250". My rifle was "bench rested" on small table and bag filled with clothes. The flyer is from filling a bit past the "sweet spot" for accuracy/velocity. I had some tighter groups, but I was setting zero and covered them up to make a few more groups as I ran out of test slugs. Velocity was averaging 940 FPS for about 72 FPE. I would like to get these slugs up to 1000-1100 FPS, but I don't think I can do that without getting the mold decked since the only Eagle Claw tuner I know of has passed on.

I have made tighter groups with NSA slugs, and they run .0005" smaller on average than my sized cast slugs. I'm thinking about getting a .249" mold and polishing it out to .2495-.250". My current .250" NOE sizer makes slugs to .250-.2505" diameter. Are there off the shelf sizing kits that are already what I'm looking for? I don't have confidence that I can polish the NOE sizer out to exactly what I want. Could a machine shop do this for me instead? I know of one not too far away. I supposed I should also make a separate thread for this question since it's a bit OT.
