I tried some twenty yard shots at my spinners with the Hatsan mod 95 this afternoon.  Hit and miss.

 I beginning to think theres now less wind in the tx, ok,ks tristate area.    I cant even tember the last windless or winds under 10 mph here..  unreal.

50 yards, six shots each, bench rested, 222 grain .457 HP BBT, 950-ish FPS, AEA Challenger Bullpup

The top group has a couple of fliers, the trigger is heavy, but the rifle and ammo are capable of better than I. First few shots were just onboard air, and the rest tethered.

Second group was after I found zero and went past "the cliff"

Looking  good...

I call it "minute of deer brain at 50 yards" accurate.

Didn't take any pics, but had the Stormrider with CPHP hitting 1 MOA at 50 yards after I figured out the right hold. At 25 yards I was getting single ragged hole groups. Before my Eagle Claw was acting up I could make one ragged hole with it at 50 yards with NSA slugs.

I've run into some (longer distance) vertical stringing issues lately with the D54. I figure it's probably 98% me, but there's a chance that velocity consistency or head winds are causing some issues. When the weather clears up some I've got some testing to do...

Got a chance to squeeze in some NUAH shooting; trying to get a card to submit in the 100 yard match...
Shot 3 targets; the first was more of a sighter-as I've not shot at 100 for some time; and I had a 5 mph off/on breeze coming from 8 o'clock that I was trying to dope... Second target I had pretty well centered in windage; but managed to shoot the first four a mildot low  ...
Third target had a decent group; but either the wind was playing with me; or I was pulling to the right a hair-pretty sure it was me though... Not too bad; considering how long it's been and being in a hurry:

Maybe its the copy paper used , but i find funny 3 shots punched round / clean . Then the 3 that looked like the pellet was keyholeing .

This was my 100 yard results when plinking in the wind today. I was holding at the 9 o'clock position, far left edge. Winds were gusting around 5 to 15+mph left to right and occasionally towards me some. Definitely need a calm day when reaching out 

Had gotten a little sloppy with my hold, a few went high and some low. I believe increasing the magnification a touch should bring the POI closer to the POA some, but will play with that when it's calmer out..

For the he most part your elevation looks ok bit the wind pushing you right   .
 I guess you'd have to hold that same left.  Then hope the wind blows on the pellet the same every shot 😉..

You figure how much energy that poor pellet looses that far away and it dont take much to wiff it off..   your elevation is good , your on the plate  in line with the bulls  so if you had little to no wind you should be in..  (opinion)

Thanks Deeco; I can say for sure that it's the paper-for whatever reason it loves to tear that way-the corrugated cardboard that I was using as a backer was running with the 'grain' up-and-down; I think that's why only a few tore that way-it was in the 'hollow' spot of the corrugations... The shot far off to the left was from a previous group; I moved the backer around to try and stay on a clean area.

Hmmm... I've had that happen to me too; not very often though-I usually have it happen when my internet is running bad; and then I have to clear my cache to fix it/get them to load. I used the forum media section; and linked it with the image brackets; so folks know.
The hardest part is not knowing if it was the wind; or me-I think it was me; as I tend to throw it that direction when shooting off sticks (flyers only to the right; almost never pulled one to the left)...

Agreed-was still happy with the overall group-just needed to get it in the right place, LOL...
Have shot better; though-once put 5 shots at 100 yards into 1.55"-not a regulation target; so didn't submit it-but the group was almost perfectly centered-one shot nicked my little 1/2"-ish center dot 
Been itching to get out with regulation targets to try and repeat it... Still have three more printed up; need to get the printer out and make some more 
Definitely know what you mean about the loss of energy-the lag time from shot to impact is addictive...

I recycle old paper plates for targets.  I get all kinds of odd looking holes no matter what kind of pellet I’m using.  I’d like to get cleaner holes so I could tell if any pellets are key holing.  Any suggestions on the best kind of paper for clean pellet holes?

Look up at the target I posted, its #90 tag, it makes that spider hole, no tears BUT only wad cutters punch round holes.

Nice group.  Good target paper is usually about 150 lb. newsprint.  The stuff I use corresponds to about 200 lb. coated stock so it tears unevenly.  Those holes on your target are my definition of clean.
Most of my shots look like they are key holing.  I’m just too cheap to buy targets.

I've actually already made NUAH Member status-which initially took a good 30 targets LOL...
Honestly cannot remember at this point; maybe it wasn't that many; maybe more-but always trying for better! 
Managed to shoot other qualifying targets; but none enough improved to up me to the next level of NUAH standing.
Man but it's a blast, though; ain't it?
Sniping without needing a 1000 yard range!

Thats how it works for me a lot of times.

I shoot several could be better groups  them things fall in to place and get the ones that they all fall neatly into place pretty..

Like 75 y  i been throwing pellets at. Even at that and this wind oys left or its right.   Then use Kentucky windage to lead them in for wind  thats ok but not as a calm day aimed spot on.   Thing i see is zero at the distance your shooting anyway.   Hold over and all ok but not quite as croshair center  hold so to say (opinion)

Picking a leed spot at that distance open sight is tough..  4" left is not easy to see to hold...lol

If i want to shoot 100y well,  i zero in at 100y

I have 500 yards on my property and I shot it a lot but it got to be an exhibition to traverse the 1/2 mile there and back through our marsh. The 100 yards I shoot with air guns is all flat land, easy to walk and the birds sing to you all the way there and back. I find it MUCH harder to get a good group at 100 with an air gun than 500 with a PB.

We have the land, but I only have about 75 yards of range due to having trees everywhere. Right now I'm shooting near my house, but long term, when I have some big bottles, I want to build a long flat range on the north part of my property. Even just shooting 50 yards is a lot of walking without a powerful scope. If I ever shoot at 100 yards I'll be bringing my field telescope or nautical spotting telescope.

Lol.. even with a scope or x16 binoculars i still cant see holes...   That 100 yard walk gets old quick well 200 counting there and back every 2 to 5 shots. 👍.

Well from no wind to now 12mph+ just reaps havock on my shots ..   

I chunked the gamo package scope on the gamo this morning to get in on the fun ..

Gamo .22cphp package scope.    Ya, started great then the higher the sun got the stronger the wind gets..     by noon ill bet at least 14-18 mph.. 

Anyway heres my sad shooting this morning

The white paper i gave up ot eas becoming fruitless bucking wind by then.
