Hi Van... thought I saw a thread in which you describe your mods... and has pictures of your mods to fit the 160 Stock to a few Discovery rifles... am looking for the thread that has a pick of the work from a top view..?
I think you said/showed you used a spade bit for in-letting for the trigger pack and a 1" hole saw for the gauge..?
Have found many other threads but not the one I saw once a little while ago... My google fu must be on vacation...Any/All advice welcome..

even looked at how to do the QB/QB thumb hole stock...

Here is a picture of the inletting for a 160 stock on a Disco. 5/8" Forstner bit, not spade bit, to cut the trigger slot after plugging the rear 1/4" forward to locate the Disco mounting lug in the too big existing hole which is plugged with a dowel and glue to be re-drilled for the Disco stock screw. I used gauge bypass valve from Magnum Air power so I did not need a Gauge hole. Trigger slot was shaped with a Dremel drum sander to final shape and used the original Disco stock as a guide to internal inlet depth.

I Much appreciated your guidance both in your PM and here in this thread...It really helped to see and read how you went about inletting for the Maximus...
decided to go sans gauge also... just feels right...sorta paying homage to the fact that it is his forefathers stock that he is wearing..
besides gauge read about 75 psi low compared to my 3 hand pumps that seem to be within about 20 psi of each other and about the same 75 psi low compared with my other pcps...
I figure the best way to say thank you is to show I actually made use of your help...
So below is a pic... I named him Max Maximus because he is tuned for the heavy pellets... He was doing very well (right around moa at 45 yards) with them especially the Seneca domed and BBT 30g... the JSB Monster and Beast were just slightly behind and all were in the 43-47.5 fpe zone... Six shots on about 800-900 psi... 1950 down to about 1100...
The problem was that the barrel was pointing down once the grub screws were tightened on the barrel band... after I shimmed the barrel to level with the air tube well harmonics reared their head and accuracy went to about 1.5 moa..
so first thought was maybe adding another barrel band would be the first thing to try... then I remembered your Discos and that those stocks are inletted for a barrel band near the end of the fore-grip...
Having never been able to bond with the synthetic stock well that made up my mind for me...
Need to shim the bands to finish the job... and then hopefully can test accuracy again within a few days... If two bands does not do the job will ad another just aft of the fill assembly... may just do that for looks anyway... Thanks for the inspiration and advice... Now I need to get the stock for my stock Maxi done...
