The purchase included a lube tune and trigger adjust.  First a little about myself.  I am not a pro at reviews and airguns.  I was in the Air Force during the late 60,s and I managed to qualify Expert for three years in a row.  I hunted a lot as a youth but mostly for Squirrels, Rabbits, and Groundhog.  Most of my shooting was with .22 Rim-fire and a Martini Falling Block in .222 Swift (Groundhog with this wildcat cartridge).  I did the Chronograph shooting yesterday with 14 different Pellets.  I will try accuracy shooting when weather clears up (raining now).  I shot about 50 or 60 pellets in the morning and took a break for lunch.  After lunch I started to shoot some more and had an instant pain in my shoulder.  After thinking about it I realized I was wearing a vest in the morning.  I put the vest back on and that eased the shoulder pain.  This rifle does not have the SAS system and I guess it does kick some.  I noticed today that I had a blister on my ring finger from being pinched by the barrel when cocking the rifle.  I used two hand method to cock the rifle and held barrel with one hand in order to load pellet.

At the end I will show the chrono averages for the pellets used.  These pellets are a collection that I started about 9 months ago.  Some of the pellets were eBay purchases and some of them may be obsolete.  It is interesting to note that the Beeman Silver Arrow Pellets were the only ones that fit really tight in the receiver.  It took a little effort to get them in the breech.  Also these were the only pellets that did not leave a little smoke in the bore after shooting.  I also noted that when I seated the pellet below the receiver opening the velocity would fall about 20 or 30 FPS.

When I started shooting the temperature was 70 Deg.  When I started the 5th string the temperature was 75 Deg, and when I shot the last 4 strings the temperature was 77 Deg.  It was a cloudy day with no direct sunlight and the wind was very mild.

I did not weigh the pellets and most of them just dropped into the receiver with the exception of the Silver Arrows mentioned earlier.  Most shots were about a minute apart.  Barrel did not warm up and with the exception of a few the pellets were seated flush with the receiver.

I do not have a way to verify trigger pull.  Compared to my other Air rifles, BSF Media, Gamo CFX steel trigger, Discovery, and several other low dollar rifles (haven't had a chance to shoot my Marauders yet.  I really like this trigger,  you really don't have to think about it JUST SQUEEZE.  There doesn't really appear to be a first stage, if there is it is very short pull.  To me this is the best trigger I have experienced.

I will start out saying that I am old school and I like a real wood stock.  I know there are a lot of people that support the synthetic stock and I agree with some of the qualities, but it is a little like HOT RODS, there is no substitution for cubic inches.  There is no substitution for real wood. The fit and finish is excellent on this rifle.  Since I purchased this rifle with a lube tune I don't know if anything was changed or spruced up in the overall looks department, but I doubt it.  I personally like the hooded sight and it gives a good sight picture.  I also like the fiber optic addition to the sites.  I found that the Patriot would come to the shoulder and point naturally.  While doing the chrono I did some pinking, at sticks, leaves on ground, spots of color change, etc.  I found that I was quite accurate at this game and was about 60% on the money.  I also noted the rifle did not seem to be hold sensitive.  I will do accuracy shooting as soon as the weather gets better.

The tuned version of the Patriot cocks very smoothly and shoots just as smooth.  There is no spring noise when cocking and when fired the spring noise is minimal.  It does take a concerted effort to cock the rifle.  I can cock it with one arm but only a couple of times in a row.  I generally put the butt on my leg and once barrel was broke I would use two hands to cock.

OK I have a problem here.  I forgot to clear the buffer when I saved the chrono date.  I can salvage it but it will take a little time.  Does anybody know how to figure the Deviation?  I am using Chrono Connect and a bunch of data.  I will post this much and try to get the rest tomorrow, may be missing the standard deviation.
