I am looking for Ballistic calculators that use GA drag modeling. I am told Chairgun but my PC is windows 7, 64 bit and I have had zero success getting it to run.
Thanks, Mike

Strelok has added the GA drag model.... I don't know of any others.... To be truthful, there is so little difference to the G1, you are unlikely to notice the difference.... and only shooting a particular pellet will tell you any closer than either drag model....

Does the Chairgun Pro phone app use that too?

Like Bob said Stralok has the GA function, though any good calculator that has the ability to do a trajectory validation should help out. This way you can zero at say 30 yards, then shoot out to 60. If you are off at 60, type in what the actual correction is and the calculator will do the rest. Though even with the technology that we have with these systems it doesn't take away the fact that you still need to shoot at the ranges. Always shoot and record what you need and move on.
Heck before using a ballistic calculator I fell everyone should be using a DOPE book and document as much as they can. I use one for each of my powder guns, and am working on doing it with the airguns. Nice to be able to go back and see what a gun is doing in different conditions.

To have a BC Calculator do that, you need the muzzle velocity, plus the POI at 2 ranges to calculate a new, corrected BC.... The Calculator will not, however, change the drag model used, it will just give you a corrected BC using the previous drag model selected.... It might be possible for a rather sophisticated trajectory calculator to figure out a new drag model given enough information.... eg. MV, and 3 or more POIs at different ranges....
Nothing beats shooting at various ranges and recording the POI.... because almost never will your pellet match any published drag model....

Thank you, I thought it would be fun to play with.
Have fun with it, Mike

Here's a couple more besides Strelok Pro and ChairGun (both computer and app) that use GA:
Ballistic Mobile Calculator
BY ackuric (aka Matt)
First edition: 21Mar20
https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/official-release-simple-pcp-calculator-mobile/
Extremely powerful, just a full slate of all kinds of both daily and exotic calculations, including stuff the tinkerers and modders would use. It's a Google Sheets spreadsheet. It exists in "the Cloud"–on a remote server.
Exterior Ballistics Calculator
It does not have the GA installed, but it allows for custom drag models, so you can just import the GA drag model and you got it.
This app has not been maintained for several years, too bad, it looks very promising!
https://sites.google.com/site/scixddevexteriorballistics/https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ebc.ui
The Strelok Pro app allows you to enter
variable BC numbers
(up to 5 BC values for 5 different velocities).
And if you're up to it, you can enter a full
custom drag model
-- like the GA model, but
not really
like the GA because it is a generic model averaging all kinds of pellets in all kinds of guns -- but you can enter the CDM that matches
your
gun -- with
your
preferred pellet/slug.... 😊
Exciting times for us airgunners, even more so if you can help your wife see how
critically necessary*
a Labradar is (and the $600 it costs). 😄
(Yes, I admit I haven't even attempted to have that conversation with mine, I know the arguments she has, and they are better than mine.... Bummer.)
Matthias
*
critically necessary
-- for your fun and enjoyment, that is, not critically necessary for sustaining life....
