I've been thinking about a Dar in .177. Visited site and see all calibers out of stock. I sent a message late in week to inquire on in stock date. Anyone know if they're just waiting for more or not selling until sealing issues fixed? Are gen3 close to production or in designing yet?

I need to call Joe tomorrow about a shipping label but it would not suprise me at all if they are holding up to change out the rings since this is what Joe told me they were doing two weeks ago.

They have a "container" so stock should not be a concern.

No, the gen lll will be a while yet according to Joe.

Update:

I spent about a half hour speaking with Joe today and have some news that I can share with his permission.
-Ryan no longer works at DAR & Mike works on the accessories side, not the DAR side so his knowledge base will be limited.
-Joe is the customer support person for the whole business, not just DAR.
-Joe is the only one working for the airgun division right now so please be patient.
-They indeed are out of stock of saleable airguns, another shipment is on the water right now but still has to clear customs so expect a 6-8 week delay.
-Joe found a source for the correct o rings. They are not "rare" but also are not standard sizes so it took a while to source them and should be in next week sometime.
-Joe is looking for new employees, if you are local and like airguns, go apply!!
-They will begin rebuilding the regs etc as soon as the o rings arrive.

The bottom line for me personally is that I am still waiting for my shipping label and my .25 is about 2 months out from delivery. I also told Joe that the lack of communication sis costing them customers and its better to post the delay and the reasons for them online than leave us wondering.

He was very frustrated too, *it sounds as if this whole airgun thing is the baby of an owner and he gets to run it for them.

They have not "lost" me as a customer...I have fully understood their situation as they are not the only air gun business with employee issues.. anyway thanks for filling us in and I will proceed with my warranty issues and know (DAR) Aim Sports will follow up.

I love my .22 and I'm planning to get another in .25

I have a Maurader .25 with the Green Mountain barrel still going strong since 2010. I may consider a DAR later in .25.

Gentlemen, this was meant globally, we are just a small sampling of their market. There are now 5 people I have had contact with (here and other forums) that have decided to move on from DAR due to the communication issues as well as stock issues. I think most of us understand the issues of "a leaker" and how to solve that but not knowing is very hard on most people.

I can assure you that PA is much worse "getting back"... the owner actually jumped into a thread I was posting in a few weeks ago on another forum with tales of woe re hiring the right people etc etc... but business has not been better, etc etc...I suggested they set up a training program... but that is an investment.

Thank you David for that info. The not real common o-ring sizes makes me wonder though. Are others that have replaced rings on their own just using near sized ones and holding fine so far?

The small o ring in the reg that's been the cause of many leakers...a 006 has been working fine for me for well over 2000 pellets.

Here's some oring sizes that have worked for me. Have had the reg out numerous times and all still seal.

Black reg spacer /sleave that fit the tube. Should work at either end of the tube on the valve housing and fill cap. I did have to break the sharp edge in the tube just past the threads. Used 220 grit and smoothed the sharp edge. Size 210. There was a little extrusion on disassembling, 90 duro would be better for the 210.

Reg body size 112.

Reg spool.... the part the belleville washers go over. The small one at the tip is a 006. The bottom part of the spool...the bigger end. I didn't have one on hand that fit.

Brass seat on top of the reg. The screw you use to adjust the pressure. Size 008.

These are sizes that worked for me on my rifle. More than likely stock were metric.

Would like to have one of their guns so I emailed them if they might have time line when they might be receiving an order but I have not received any response from them. As I see it if a business doesn't take the time to respond it make me question their dedication to the product they are selling so I moved on to another seller and have a different rifle saved to purchase when it arrives. Communication goes a long way in making a sale! Thanks for the info at least I now know they have not gone out of business!
