rws 34...i took you for granted

i never realized now beautifully made my rws 34 was until today. how it smoothly and silently works . how the 20 year old guns blueing, while scratched here and there  is so even.
how light it is.
this weekend i received what i thought would be its younger faster more powerful replacement.
guess i'm hangin on to the old 34 a while longer.

I am deeply satisfied with todays 34 MPC t05 177. It offers refined finishes on both wood and bluing, a balanced comfortable hold, accuracy and a dependablity of performance and target acquisition.

They are no more than counterweights for gun balance....some shroud effect....Diana thought it offered balance and harmonics control....others on this forum disagree and have removed....I enjoy the 'handle' and looks.

You have best looking stock I have seen on one of them.  That and its a shooter *_*   Was a good day when they built that one

Mine wouldnt group as good without the muzzle weight,id much rather shoot without it but the targets tell me to leave it on.

Is yours the full length barrel or the shorter compact length?  I guess it depends on the pellet you shoot and if the brake happens to be in the right spot for that specific pellets effect on barrel harmonics....Too bad they did not have it set up where you could shift it forward and back slightly to tune it to your specific pellet.   I threw mine in trash....thought about it later I should have given it away on here for shipping

Stevemag: Those barrel weights are HEAVY on the Pro Compact but... it can easily be replaced with a black Delrin clone or a creative LDC. The barrel weight is hollow inside but unfortunately, the end cap that unscrews is nearly flush with the muzzle. The 34 is a good candidate for a barrel shroud that extends 4 or 5 inches past the muzzle with some LDC innards.
