Well, I finally made time to finish and test my 101. After stripping the chipped paint from the action and the bronze barrel I decided to leave it that way.
I know that it should not be restored like that but I can always paint it black. Feels good and shoots great.

Nice job! I like the color combo, and as you mention, it can always be painted.
They do have such a solid feel to them.

Scott, you are right, they do look good all black but I am impressed with the bronze barrel and when I get over it I will give it a paint job.
For a 75 year old AG it is easy to work on and fun to shoot which makes it a great for plinking.
