Stumbled across a 2021 Crosman catalog last night

That’s right! The NEW Challenger CH2021 has a side lever?!! 🤯

I’m not so much interested in the new Challenger itself, but could it be that Crosman is FINALLY going to start adding modern features to their guns? 🤯🤯

Curious what they will be doing to with the Benjamin line?🤔 Strangely the catalog doesn’t have any Benjamin product. Don’t disappoint us Crosman…

The other thing that I noticed about the new Challenger is the 3000 psi fill and what appears to be a Marauder size air tube under that new side lever breech. Very hopeful this might mean that a new Gen III Marauder is on the horizon and it is finally getting the much anticipated and long awaited side level breech. Hopefully it is backwards compatible too. makes me hopeful at least.
oh and looks like maybe a new style trigger too.

It looks like it may fit.  It looks to be designed as a single shot.  I also noticed it is regulated.  Like you, not that interested in the Challenger, but the possibility of an updated Mrod with backward compatable parts. 

Their 2020 catalog is still listed on site, and contains both brands.  Interesting they would be separating.

It will be a super disappointing if the first side lever Crosman releases since the Bulldog only gets put on a Challenger instead of their flagship PCP rifle for the last decade. I have always felt that a side lever Mrod would rejuvenate and boost interest in that platform.

Doubt if a whole lot of that is actually made by Crosman….and wonder at the expected price….but it’s a better effort than the Challenger 2009.

Going to guess they just said “screw the left handed”...but cheer they got rid of the troubled prone straight pull/ball bearing locked cocking system.



Why would they NOT put the new system on the rifle specifically made for accuracy?

As a lefty I disagree. 

Side cockers would be fine for us if everyone did'nt make the darn handles so huge.

That challenger handle looks smaller then the normal side cocking handle on most rifles..

I see the P1 is labeled as new, but same model number as old.  I think they just corrected the odd 19 BB mag to 20.  Which case, you can gain a BB with a new style mag.

Not so fast pilgrims.

Let’s see now, they knowingly made bad Mrod  barrels in 22 for years I repeat they did this knowingly, then the Rogue which should have been stillborn,  then they import and rebrand wonderful guns from Turkey, then a popping Sam that shoots best as a single shot and to top it all off, a 1100 FPS 397/800 FPS 392, that has no means to scope, and a brand new synthetic stock with a cheek riser that makes it totally impossible to even see the iron sights.

Maybe Crosman needs to rebrand more guns.

I have a great prod, only the pressure tube and internals  remain, no strike that, they are in the mail to be replaced, and it came with missing parts and a non working safety.

Perhaps they could  test this stuff before they ship them, but heck, no other airgun company company seems to either.

Having written all this, my Bulldog, that so called knowledgeable airgunners and airgun reviewers quickly slammed is simply superb with 152’s at 911 FPS, go figure.
Best thing they gave are those wonderful ladies in the parts department.

The gunner in 45 looks interesting.

The side lever can be flipped for lefties.

Gen2 compatible side lever... put me down for one of those. I have a 22brod that would be perfect with a side lever. And yes that may perhaps spring a new following to a long proven platform.
