Daisy 880 pellet loading

I have a difficult time loading pellets into my 880. I just can't get my fingers in there to get the pellet in right. I've been using long tweezers which have been working great.
Just wondered what others are doing.

Look for tweezers that the blades cross. They clamp when you let go. VERY nice. They have a name, but I do not recall at the moment. Mine are like 5" long and have 45 degree bent tips. Perfect for tight pellet loading.

One technique is to hold the muzzle slightly down, place the pellet in the receiver slot and roll the pellet into the loading port.....

I just typically try to load it backwards and let Murphy's law kick in...............

I point the barrel up on an angle and roll the pellet in so the skirt will slide down on the probe,

The tweezers are called cross action, x-action, reverse action, cross lock and I think a couple other names. You can find straight or angled tips. I like a 5” to 6” pair myself.

I can manage the 880s but I use the 'squeezers' on the 2100 and 2200.

Thank you for the added info.. I could not remember the name(s). All I know is they work great and are my go to tweezers unless pulling something,.. like a splinter.

That Barra is a bear,... to load. It sure looks "purty",... but dang!. It is fer dern shor that the folks that design these things,.... fer shor don't be a shootin' 'em.

I loaded my Barra up with bbs and shot it about 10 times... but it sure is purty hanging on the wall.

 I upgrade the 880 to a bigger bore, best thing I think I did, .30 cal. way easier to get loaded then a flippy .177

Just looked up "tweezers cross action" on ebay and ordered 2 straight and 2 curved for a little over $10. Rob C thanks for asking about this problem. I have the same problem with my Daisy 856 and Baikal 60.  And Garandsx5 thanks for putting a name on the tweezers, made it easy to look them up on ebay.

I upgrade the 880 to a bigger bore, best thing I think I did, .30 cal. way easier to get loaded then a flippy .177

 Yes I cleverly hid it in the Big Bore gate, I may start a new post in Daisy Land, when I get ammo and do some crony testing etc. I was going to do the barrel swap on a old 1400 but decided the 880 was cheaper in the long run.

Some couple years ago, I designed a pellet loader based on the in-line cappers for muzzle loader rifles. Thought it'd be easier in narrow loading slots under scopes in bolt action rifles. Or mod the design to work with those iffy-not-too-safe loading gates for underlever rifles. I need to break out the Dremel and my Unger and get to work on this finally;
