Crosman model 100

I’m not entirely sure why but I can’t find much I formation on this air rifle. I was at a gun store in town and saw this old pellet gun in .177. It was only 45 bucks and looked to be in great condition.
Took me forever to find out what model of crosman it was because it doesn’t list a model name. I Put a handful of pellets through it and it’s an absolute tack driver and joy to shoot!
Does anyone have any experience with the model 100? It looks as though it wasn’t used very much and kept in storage.

Looks to possibly be a 1949 given the Town and Country sight.  Probably the best year and a .177 would be rarer for sure.  Great find.

These rifles are the easiest guns to work on.  You do need a special tool sold by Baker Airguns and a seal kit.  Or you can just send it to him.  I think he offers a refund on the kit if you end up sending it after failure?

your 100 looks pretty sweet with that scope mounted.
hows the accuracy on yours?
with the sights already mounted, i was able to score 1/2 inch groups from 20 yards, off hand.

Lucky find! The model 100 is rare. The .177 cal model 100 only sold a fraction of the number of .22 cal model 101. The smaller caliber was unfamiliar to post war Americans who were much more comfortable with the tried and true .22 cal. Only them fancy Europeans favored the tiny .177 cal. Looks like you found one in excellent condition with a maple stock. Congratulations.
