I would like to replace my Nitro Piston in the gun.

Where is a good place for parts?  Who has the best price?

Can I get it directly from Crossman?

It doesn't look to difficult to replace if I had the part.  The gun was not high end to start with, but it always shot well, and I liked the stock.
I hate to just trash it...

Getting it from Crosman is your best bet and you will need the part number. Here is the parts break down and list of part numbers. The number to call is at the bottom of the parts list.

But Mac that $4.00 shipping charge is a killer. NOT. Bought lots of parts fron Crosman. Reasonable and easy to order.

Replacing the gas strut is simple and straightforward "surgery".  Bear in mind some kind of spring compressor will greatly simplify the process.  You must get some parts under pressure into alignment.  When you order the gas spring you would do well to add a breech seal and a piston seal to your order to have spares on hand.  They are inexpensive and shipping is the same for one part or several.

The preload on those struts is about 1/8", so a pipe clamp will work just fine, and still be safe.  You won't need a full blown spring compressor.
Once you put the new strut in, always keep the gun stored so that the ram is pointing downwards.  There's a very small amount of oil inside the strut to keep the seal lubed, and if the ram is facing downwards the oil settles on the seal and keeps it from drying out.  I believe in the case of your gun you'll want to store it muzzle down.  If you don't do this, and if you store the gun for long periods of time without shooting it, you will lose gas out of the strut and it will lose power.  I know from firsthand experience (twice!).

Thanks guys, parts are on order. 

I have had this gun five or six years.  The gas ram stopped working a couple of years ago.  I didn't use it much so it did sit months at a time.  And it did sit in the gun case muzzle up.
I will plan to change that.  I had almost thrown it away on several occasions.  I just happened to find a video on you tube of a guy replacing his.  Looks pretty straight forward.  I have the same clamp as he used on his.

BTW; the part number had changed from the parts list above, they added an "A" to the end of it. 

They also acted like it might be a little longer on getting it shipped they are on limited hours and working from home...

Parts came in yesterday!  Pretty happy with that.

Hope to work on it this week will report results.

Plan to lube the seal and polish on the trigger a bit while its apart.
