Yet ANOTHER Silencer Arrives - Rocker1 Newest Edition

This just arrived in the mail, it is the latest updated version of the Rocker1 from the last silencer test of 14 different airgun LDCs -

It is the same diameter but longer than the prior Rocker1 and the body tube appears to be made from some kind of resin and/or synthetic material, and is then wrapped with some type of carbon fiber patterned printed sheet. I reached out to the maker for clarification on the tube material but have not received a reply as of this writing.

The front cap is a black synthetic material as well, and the rear cap which threads onto the gun muzzle is aluminum. I found more preferable results with metal vs plastic threaded rear caps, both in durability as well as less likelihood of cross threading.

There is no lettering on the unit anywhere and both front and rear caps are straight sided with no tapering. I guess I will just call it the Rocker2 to differentiate it from the first Rocker that was tested prior.

This unit is designed to be taken apart for cleaning/maintenance as both caps unscrew, and the internals just slide out.

Although I cannot describe how the internals are made due to GTA rules, I can say that the Type of material layers used for one part of the sound muffling mechanism seems improved and more sound absorbent than the first one. It is likely to test quieter based on what I can see.

Confirmed cost is only $70(!).

I took some photos (see below), but again cannot show the internals per GTA rules. The last photo shows it mounted to an Evanix AR6K.

There is another airgun silencer test coming up (in fact I already began some testing) and this unit will be compared with the 14 other silencers from before, plus several new ones that our members have graciously sent in. Total should be around 20 (twenty!) units.

This time I am shooting all of them through an un-baffled, un-shrouded  PCP rifle to see which units can best quiet the full air blast.

Yes Jesse, I am eagerly looking forward to the outcomes myself.

As for the swinging hammer gun, that Evanix AR6K can be shot by simply thumbing back the exposed hammer, keeps the trigger hand on the trigger and not losing as much sight picture as removing the hand to re-cock for each shot, plus...

...it is also a light, smooth, mechanical double-action trigger, meaning you can fire as fast as you can pull the trigger and actually don’t even have to do anything else to keep firing. Makes for super quick follow up shots.

This style of shooting also yields the highest power (800+ fps with JSB 18.13gr pellets) while pulling back the hammer for each shot, while being a bit more accurate, drops velocity by about 100 fps, although the trigger then becomes a crisp single-stage action which helps me shoot it a little more accurately. I just look at the slower velocity as having a second, lower power level of this gun.

You can buy these off ebay , I bought 2 of them for 100 bucks  they work fantastic took the BARK off the Walther MaximaThor .25 guns that I bought .... machined aluminum ends carbon fiber tubing ...

*Update: the maker just informed that under the CF outer wrap the tube is aluminum.

Hi Matthias,

The Rocker2 is 1" in diameter by 7-1/32" in length. For weight and volume specs of this and 19 other silencers please check the most recent test here:

From what I understand the Rocker2 and his other units can all be had in true CF tubing, but the cost may be different.

Yessiree they are costly but it's also a good hobby that keeps husbands and wives busy mostly outdoors...a good fun sport with safety protocols involved! My wife on the rare occasion will take a couple of shots. Your wonderful wife surely understands and knows, that's why you have an incredible new WC iii!
