Dar ssg

Made one up and thought id post my findings.  I did open up the valve and barrel port on my rifle, so your results may vary.

The gun was tuned to shoot jsb 15.89 at 900 fps. I was getting 34 shots before falling off the reg at 110-115 bar. After the addition of of the ssg I picked up 10 extra shots. 44 at 900 fps before  it falls off the reg.

Haven't modded the stock yet.  But its pretty thick in that area.  I dont see it protruding out the back side much if any when cocked.

Cant remember the size of the screw. But its just a flat t nut on one end and nylock on the other. Hole drilled in the factory spring adjuster. Spring is an 1 1/2 from McMaster Carr.  Part # 9434k121

My RAW HM1000x gained at-least 50% more shots using (.22 cal.)18.13 JSB pellets at 920 fps with an SSG and porting mods.

In RAW's defense, they are marketed as a High Powered airgun; adding an SSG option would require them to confuse their established message and completely re-tune rifles before shipping.
However, the SSG would remove the negative "Loudness/Inefficient Tag" which follows their offerings.

Absolutely.  Just a small hole in the center of the end cap.

When doing an ssg this way do you grind the threads off most of the bolt so it's smooth and does't drag on the end cap?

I do.  Generally I go at it from the other direction and instead use a piece of round stock and just thread the portion I need.  For example, 3/16” rod can be threaded directly to #10-32.

I have it pretty much set where i want it now. I'll probably sleeve it with brass hobby tube.
