Darryl,
I have the single shot version that shoots good (1inch at 50) with cphp pellets but 3"or more with superdomes, rws hp, and crow magnums. Putting the ldc on the gun seems to cut this in half.
I have jsbs coming in today I hope.
The free floating barrel option didnt work with mine. Wandering poi and visible spiraling of the pellet.
Ordered an air stripper last night to see if it helps when not using the ldc. My ldc is cardboard tube duct taped to a machined adapter.
Have a good day

mine did have problem with accuracy, because I used the hatsans ldc, and I didn't remove the tiny o ring on the muzzle front that's ldc was sitting on - it was never straight enough. I also removed upper o rings from barrel bands, but that aint much of a free float barrel. before I installed the regulator, i had 5" group at 100 yards with it.
mine is shooting cpum and jsb quite well. rws was a disappointment, both super-domes and h.
try cleaning the barrel, and remove that o ring on top, and also check the crown.
i have also heard that some folks had problems with stem, or the spring in there - it wasn't working the same every time, giving out more or less air, and therefore they had accuracy problems.

Hey Guys,
Just joined this forum cause I really like my .22 cal Pneuma 10. Please, I have seen conflicting info on the spring tension tweakage.
Once I find or make a suitable Allen key, which direction decreases FPS/power? Clockwise?
Thanks,
Al

I had already removed the tiny O-ring before putting the LDC on. I saw no signs of clipping, but the crown does look a bit inconsistent in appearance. I'm considering polishing the crown a bit to see if that helps. I don't really want to send it back to Umarex. Have to pay coming and going in this case.
Sorry to hear the free-floating doesn't work out. That makes me second-guess the full shroud.
Welcome Allard. Maybe if you go back through the pages of this thread you will find your answer. I believe the rifles come pretty much maxed out. But be sure before you start tweaking.

at44 isnt maxed out, in stock, hammer spring is on lightest tension. screwing out is increasing tension.
for crown, try that, or search YT for video how to DIY, or try local gunsmith.
free float - as I said, I just removed o rings from bands, so the barrel is still pretty much in contact with bands, so it's not really free floating.
you may also try removing one band (saw that trick on few uk forums)

Guess the easiest way to test if an LDC or 1/2 shroud is centered is to take the barrel off and hold the breech end up to the light. Looking from the front, should see that circle of light in the middle of the passage way though the LDC.
Could put a wad of white cotton on the bolt probe of an open breech, shine a light on that cotton, and look in from the front with the barrel still on the bun...of course, even a wad of cotton accidentally fired would turn you into a cyclops.
Second thing is that a shroud or LDC can't have any vibration ("wiggle") to its attachment... even if it doesn't clip the pellet, that loose fit will kill accuracy by making the barrel resonate in odd, non repeating patterns.
IF you've removed the rear sight, will find the two screw holes for that sight go straight down to the barrel...could put two more set screws in for a total of four.
Those holes probably NEED TO BE FILLED..the way the barrel attaches, they will leak air.
The barrel rides on two o-rings and is not locked in place by the transfer port (kind of like QB barrels). Undoing the set screws should let you pull it straight off the gun. IF those two o-rings are cut or leaking, would expect inconsistent velocity and grouping.

Well guys, I was initially reluctant to try manually loading pellets, but I was faced with sending the rifle to Umarex, or working on the barrel myself. Try the simpler things first. So I took some good advice, and made a make-do pellet tray out of a piece of cardboard. The rifle grouped those JSB Jumbo Heavies just fine (inside). I was low on air in my tanks but I got off ten shots and aside from one off the mark (me) all other were hitting the same area, if creating a larger hole. But it was one hole; not two different groups (which I got from time to time) nor the scatter-spraying of pellets. The magazines are the cause of the rifle's inaccuracy. The difference is accuracy with and without using the magazines is telling. I've written to Anna @ Umarex, and asked for new instructions, and for some thinking outside the box. I don't want to send the whole rifle back when it's the magazines that are clearly the problem. I see what I've been missing. Maybe Umarex will let me trade it for a single-shot version? I'll keep you posted on how this turns out.

Worth a read: (but the UK 12 foot pound version):
http://www.gunmart.net/gun_review/hatsan_at_44-10/
Sounds like the magazine is hosing you by misaligning.
Are several reasons for that to be possible...none easily fixed. It could be that there is a sharp edge on the breech end of the barrel.
But it is a new gun...so they need to be made aware and make it right.

Rib, thanks for the link. In fact I'd read that review and had saved it. If the magazines are to work as advertised it seems I have no option but to send the rifle in for repair. Good old Umarex. I pay shipping
both
ways.
Still, whatcha gonna do? I really like the rifle. It's a powerful little bruiser. Now I see I can hit something...

shot groups at 76.6 yards, regulated
in this one, i took 6 shots. the loosen one is my error at 3rd shot so I took 6 total
this one is 10 shot
this one is also 10 shot. lower 5 hits are from previous aiming, when pressure dropped below 120 bar

I called Umarex yesterday (Friday) and spoke with Andrew. He told me he'd never heard of a magazine causing inaccuracy problems. Then he put me on hold while he spoke with the gunsmith. It seems I have no recourse but to send the rifle to Umarex. They'll see what I'm talking about.
Nice groups, Stephan. I hope my rifle will perform like that once I get it back.

Here is a group I shot this afternoon , 10 Shots and slightly over 50 Yds. This is with the Hatsan Air stripper attached. I posted a little more info on the Turkish airgun gate the stripper seems to help some.

Good grouping, PW! I'll go over to the Turkish gate, and check out your thread there. Any speculation on why the air stripper helps?

Not sure why it helps. It may have been a fluke. I.need to shoot more groups and compare. I know without anything on the barrel, the groups are much larger.
